I had a telephonic consultation with Jessica Chan about DAPA, she was not very knowledgeable about the possibilities of using advance parole as a way to adjust status (I'm married to a US citizen)under DAPA as has been done with DACA. I then asked about the possibility of applying for a U Visa as I ...was a victim of a very violent crime 10 years ago. She said she was not very familiar with this visa (even though she is listed on their website as having experience with both U and T visas) but that she would forward my documents to the gentleman at the firm who handled those cases. She let me know on 2/5 that she had forwarded it to him, but that he would be out of the office till the next week. I waited till 2/16 and emailed her back asking if she ever heard anything from him as I wanted to move forward with applying if he thought I had a case. I never heard anything back. I thought that Shusterman Law was the best of the best, however my experience with this firm has been quite disappointing. If they are too busy to take on more cases, then they shouldn't schedule consultations, or at the very least a courtesy email should be sent.
