The best immigration lawyer out there

After getting a ten year ban from the U.S. and not allowed to file a waiver, over a mistake that was made at the time of my interview at CJS; Carl Shusterman was the one and only lawyer who took my case and helped me get back home. He along Amy Prokop took care of my case while I was stuck in Mexico ...pregnant with my first child. I thank god every day for putting people like them in this world, people who without a doubt love what they do, and their effort show it. All my emails with questions and/or concerns were answered promtly and i was constantly kept up to date on my case. During my 16 month stay in Mexico we were faced with many obstacles to bring me back home but Carl always found the way to overcome them and keep things moving as quickly as possible. He is the kind of lawyer that honestly cares about the well being of his clients. I always remember him telling me, "You take care of yourself and your baby, let me worry about bringing you back home" and that is exactly what he did. I am now home with my family and I owe it all to Carl Shusterman and everyone else who worked hard on my case. I will forever be thankful to Carl for taking my case after many lawyers prior to contacting him, told me there was absolutely nothing any lawyer was able to do for me and my only option was to stay in Mexico for ten years. That alone shows how important it is to find the right lawyer who is going to fight for you and I guarantee Carl Shusterman is that lawyer.

Law Offices of Carl Shusterman brought our life back

I ever thought that was the end of our American dream. My husband and I came to USA in 2002. I worked for a company as a sales engineer. The company applied for H1 for me and H4 for my husband. We both got approved for H1 and H4 smoothly. Then we applied for green card in 2004. In the same year ...our daughter was born. One year later we bought our own house. Our life was getting better and better. But the happiness didn’t last long. In late 2010, the company I worked for 8 years fired me with no reason. Moreover they withdrew my I485 application. This all-of-the-sudden disaster shocked all of us: it seemed we didn’t have any choice but to prepare going back to where we came from. We tried everything we could and we were told the only way we can try is to port to a new company with a similar job position. Luckily I was soon hired by another company with offering of a similar job. Months later we were noticed for the interview by USCIS. The interview went well but weeks after we were both notified that our I485 application was denied. It was the saddest day for our family. We were supposed to leave USA in 6 months - after we have lived and worked hard in USA for 8 years. We had to sell the house and everything in it, sell our cars, tell every one of our friends that we are leaving, and the toughest thing for us is to bring our daughter to a totally new environment where she never has been to. The culture, the schools there are so different than those of America. How can she handle it? Fortunately we didn’t give up. We searched online for similar cases to ours and we thought we might still have hope. We finally found Law Office of Carl Shusterman – this could be our last hope – we thought. I went to their office and talked to Mr. Rajkrishna S. Iyer. And I got confidence after he analyzed my case. I can still remember what he said: “Your I485 shouldn’t be affected by the withdrawing. We can help you to make it right.” I was greatly comforted when I heard this. I almost started to cry. “They are our only hope.” My husband said. So we signed the contract with Law Office of Carl Shusterman. Mr. Rajkrishna S. Iyer and Ms. Ellen Lee worked together on my case. They started to make miracles: one week later we got the letter from USCIS saying our cases were re-opened. We knew Shusterman was fighting for us. But this battle was not easy for us. Two weeks later USCIS sent another letter stating our cases were still denied. We called Ellen and she told us: “The USCIS is referring to a wrong page of the law. Don’t worry.” Another week later, we were notified that our cases were live again. Then it was deadly quite for months. Ellen and their assistant Ms. Maria Cobian Alvarado followed up every week see if we got anything from USCIS. We told her that we got nothing. Ellen said she would ask them herself when she goes to USCIS office. Then she called us and said everything looked good. She asked us to order Info Pass to get exact information. I did and – that could be my most thrilling day in my life– I was told my green card was approved! They stamped on my passport as a temporary green card! Soon after that my husband got the temporary green card too. In two weeks our green cards were sent to production and we received them in our mail box! Now my husband is running his own business. We bought a new car and we are working on the second child. It was not easy but we finally made it. After being through all these we concluded two things: 1. Never ever give up. 2. Find the right people for help. The Law Office of Carl Shusterman saved our whole family. They are so knowledgeable, professional, diligent, responsible and kind. When they tell you they will follow up with you, they mean it. We would refer Law Office of Carl Shusterman to anyone who wants to fulfill their American dream.

Highly Recommend! Thank you, Raj and Judy

A friend of mine recommended me Carl Shusterman Law firm. They took care of my O-1 visa (Artist visa), H-1 visa, and now helping me have a green card. They are very professional, at the same time, so kind. Especially, Ms. Judy Lu, Sr. Paralegal & Office Manager, and attorney Mr. Raj Iyer. My mother l...anguage is not English, but No Problems. Judy and Raj explained each process so clearly. Their response was 100%, quick, and so responsible. I have been happy about their services, they are so reliable. Now, I highly recommend Carl Shusterman Law firm to anyone who needs immigration matters.

US Citizenship

I was looking for an immigration lawyer around the Los Angeles area and I came across his website. I did not know much about it but immediately I was struck by the fact that Mr. Carl Shusterman was brought into the Senate to chat about immigration reform. Once I made my appointment the staff was extr...emely nice and professional. On my first meeting with Carl, I told him my facts and he was a very good listener and immediately I felt that he connected with me and understood my issues. After meeting with him I was assigned to Ellen Lee and Elsa Garcia. Ellen was my lawyer and Elsa was the paralegal. Both of them were extremely attentive to my case and Elsa was great in ensuring that I had all the paperwork ready before he actually filed for the N-400 application. Ellen is simply great, I felt that she was not a lawyer but a person that genuinely wants to help her clients become a citizen. She was immediately personable and I felt right at ease. Once the office filed my N-400 application, Elsa was the person that notified me about every step even before I was aware of my status. The most important step was the day of the interview, I was naturally nervous and I was really happy once Ellen was there with them. The wait for the interview was an hour and during that time Ellen was chatting with me about life in general and made me feel right at home. Once my name was called I was amazed how many Immigration Officers knew her, just at that moment I knew everything was going to be fine. A week and a half later I got my Oath ceremony and I can't thank Ellen and Elsa enough. I plan on using their immigration service for my parents in probably 3-6 months and they will be the only one I will ever use.
