My Journey : Throughout the past several years, I have been on a rollercoaster ride of a battle with my son's father regarding custody and his well-being. Throughout his life, father has always strived to control school, sports, and discipline. As the victim of domestic violence and after more than eight years of therapy to overcome the PTSD caused by the physical, mental, and emotional abuse that I have endured. Co-parenting has been both terrifying and challenging. As early as the age of seven, my son began to express that he was afraid of going to his father house. Over the course of the years, my son has been subjected to physical abuse, emotional abuse, and psychological abuse. He is currently 12 1/2 years old and has refused to see his father. In my capacity as his mother, I endeavor to advocate for his best interests and ensure that he is well protected.
