Struggling the entire time, I had no idea that all I needed to do was file an ex part to change my situation. Did Brett do that? NO, he used my desperation as leverage. Brett Berman never informed me of this and instead dragged the DV hearing out 8 months. The entire time he focused on getting himself paid from my ex-husband, instead of working on the DV trial. I can’t stress this enough when I say, DO NOT HIRE HIM!!! He didn’t prepare me for court, he did not show a single piece of evidence, police videos, photos, recordings or any witness… Nothing! He was beyond negligent. He is a terrible lawyer, has zero energy to fight and his carelessness made me lose everything. I am still trying to fight my way back to where I was before Brett Berman. Divorce is hard, but with Brett Berman you could lose everything you have.
