After 22 years, my dream became TRUE!!

Ms Thomas is a very professional attorney who seem to take great pride in doing an excellent job as a professional and in communication with her clients. Gihan was able to break down complex matters and give clear mile makers of what the process would be. She was easy to communicate with and responde...d quickly to emails. She must have hundreds of clients but made me feel like I was the only one. Never forgetting the details of my case and following up when needed. I was granted Asylum after being here in US for 22 years!!!!!! In short I would recommend Gihan to anyone seeking help with immigration matters.

The attorney of choice

My attorney,Mrs. Gihan Thomas, was so superb and so easy to talk to, that I felt she made the whole experience stress free. She knows exactly what to file and completed all necessary forms required for my case. I was so relaxed and ready for my court case. Her office staff are very competent and frie...ndly. She gives her clients personal attention. I had tried another law office, I felt I was just another case and not given any personal service. I was so glad to have found Mrs. Thomas . We won our case on the 10th of March 2014.I highly recommend Mrs. Thomas as the attorney of choice. May God Bless her.

Awesome Experience with Gihan Thomas!

Two years ago, my husband and I had an asylum case. At the time we were using another attorney. We were denied. When we appealed to BIA, one of our friends recommended Gihan Thomas. We found Gihan Thomas to be generous, smart, experienced and straight to the point. We felt so comfortable trus...ting her with our case. One year later, Gihan Thomas had won our case in BIA and our case was sent back to the Los Angeles Immigration court. Now, we had a chance, a hope of having legal status in the land of opportunity. My husband and I were careful to follow her every instruction during prep. Also, her professional staff always reminded us to re-new our fingerprints. Finally, in June 2013; we won our case! Thanks to Gihan Thomas! who made our dreams become a reality! I'm extremely happy to recommend Gihan Thomas to all my family and friends!.

LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE

I was referred to Gihan by a Federal Bureau of Investigation officer, when I was stopped in the airport for traveling without proper documentation. After hearing my story, the FBI Agent said that he didn’t understand why I would not be able to gain legal status and perhaps even citizenship to the Uni...ted States of America. He presented me with Gihan’s card and said I should reach out to her. As an official government agent was referring me to her, decided to reach out shortly thereafter and Gihan responded immediately! She heard me out and presented a recommendation to me with a confident assurance that she would be able to help me. Out of my own fear and circumstances, I did not act immediately upon her counsel but I kept the information she provided for me. Sometime later, I reached out to her again and said I was ready to begin the process. My husband and I were resigned to trudge the road of legalization and naturalization for the next 2 to 5 years. We started working with her office and providing all of the documentation they requested. Her entire staff including Valencia one of her assistants, were phenomenal!! They treated me and my husband with the utmost respect and dignity! They were always pleasant and responsive. Gihan always presented all of the information we needed with clear and concise directions. She explained every detail and set very reasonable expectations, including the fact that there was always a slight possibility, though fairly improbable, that she might not be able to win my case. Her promise was always consistent and truthful! She always stated the facts of the case and requested that I followed her lead. It was one of the most stressful times of my life and she, and her staff, always greeted me with such positivity and grace that I always felt like a real person going through a life changing experience!! At the end of the journey, (which was 4 years less than expected) Gihan argued my case so proficiently that we did not even have to go to court! Within 6 months, I was granted asylum based on my life circumstances. In addition, my husband and I experienced a groundbreaking decision that Gihan was responsible in obtaining. To my understanding, it was the first time historically that this exception was allowed for a person seeking asylum in the United States. Yes, it was my story and my life’s work that created this opportunity but it was Gihan’s knowledge of immigration law and her understanding of my culture and background that forged the path to victory! I now have the opportunity to apply for my green card and eventually citizenship to the U.S. and this is all thanks to Gihan Thomas and her entire staff! I could not be more grateful and thankful for this experience. I feel as though her entire office is now a part of my family! I am still in awe and amazement of what Gihan was able to do for me and my family! I more than strongly recommend Gihan and her staff for any legal representation people may be seeking! Thank you Gihan for changing my life for the better!

BEST ATTORNEY to handle BIA and 9th Circuit Cases for Asylum!

I seek the help of Attorney Thomas after my Asylum case was denied at the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) handled by another attorney. I first heard about her from a friend who used her service couple years back but was reluctant to switch. After I received my denial from the BIA, I decided to giv...e Attorney Thomas a shot to help me at the Ninth Circuit in 2010. About a year and a half later, I received good news from her office that my case has been remanded back to BIA! I was ecstatic! After being remanded back to the BIA, I was told of another good news approximately 2 months after. My case was remanded back to the Court! My case was pending in Court for about a year cause my husband’s case was a Withholding (he had a one year issue and so he wasn’t eligible for Asylum) and Attorney Thomas was fighting to have my case approved based on Asylum instead of Withholding. It’s been 2 months since the Immigration Judge granted my Asylum. My family and I will be applying for our green card in less than a year. Thank you for all the hard work! I strongly recommend Attorney Thomas. She may not be one those attorneys who spend a lot of time sugar coating your case to make you feel better just to get your money. She is straightforward and definitely the best in this field!
