The best attorney I’ve ever worked with

I have used the Law Office of Gihan Thomas in the immigration Court to handle my case after I fired my two previous lawyers, Gihan was so competent, knew exactly how to present my case, presented more evidence and legal arguments to support my case that was omitted by my previous lawyers, In her clos...ing statement, she summed it all up to the judge. Based on her submission, her legal arguments and her presentation, my case was granted in the court. Gihan is very knowledgeable about the court procedures and the legal process. You will not regret hiring her for your case court. SHE IS THE BEST.

Khalaf Baslyos

His strongest immigration and asylum lawyer in America. She was credited with helping me and my children get asylum and a green card. Thank you very much.

Very Disappointed!!!!

I was granted withholding removal and was married to my wife who was a green card holder at that time, In order for me to get a green card, I have to reopen and close my withholding case then adjust my status. but since my wife was only a green card holder we had to wait until she became a citizen. W...hile waiting, we applied for I-130 and we were approved. Then Gihan told us to come to her office when my wife became a US citizen to proceed with the case. The next day after her Citizenship ceremony, we went to see her and was told that we could not proceed because Trump administration ordered to freeze all the withholding removal cases who were trying to adjust the status. She said, “the only way is for you to wait until Trump is not our president anymore or when he’s impeached.” I made calls several times and checked with them for my status and her assistant told me the same answers. I went to a different lawyer for second opinion and told her what Gihan said. She said, “UNBELIEVABLE”!!!!! Then, we hired this attorney to represent us, we started in September 2019, by December 2019 we received a letter to go to the court for master hearing. Then when we got there, the judge ordered individual hearing in January 2020 and my case was closed and I was granted to adjust my status. Listen guys, whoever have granted withholding removal and are trying to get your status adjusted, please please seek different attorneys!!!! Just want to be clear, I came here with a visa, and have no criminal records, and my wife is able to support me financially. So for her to say that there is no way for me to adjust status right now because of Trump Administration is a JOKE!!!!

Mr. Wibowo - I stand by my professional advice and statements that these type of cases must be reopened by the District Counsel's office in order to allow, if any, to adjust status based on a petition by your US citizen spouse. Furthermore, DHS, on several cases, with your identical situation, did not consent to join in to reopen removal proceedings. We were informed that people with outstanding removal orders are considered an enforcement priority for the current administration. If in fact you were truthful and was granted a reopening of your case, if any, it is never done in 60 days as you falsely allege in your review. These motions to reopen are normally considered only by the Chief District Counsel herself, and they take over 90 days before they are decided. After considering the reopening, a motion must be filed with the Immigration Court to re calendar and it takes a minimum of another 60 days to be assigned and granted by the Immigration Judge. Thus, all the information you are providing in this review is false, inaccurate and contrary to the current procedures followed by the District Counsel in Los Angeles and/or the Immigration Court. So, your statements are nothing but a JOKE
