He told me the work he was retained for was not subject to certain stipulations. The petition was denied for the exact stipulations he told me did not apply. He missed a court hearing and only found out about it when I notified him almost a year later. I felt that the petition he was going to be re...tained for was frivolous and either I could do it myself or it didn't have much value and he told me that the petition would hold more value with his name on it. We decided to retain him based on those assurances which in hindsight were grandiose. We feel misled and taken advantage of.

My husband and I hired Matthew to do a review of his case and to see what his options were to get him released. I should have trusted my instincts with this guy. He talked a good game said he would review my husbands case and let us know what his options are. We paid him and never heard back, trie...d several times to get a hold of him and nothing! We finally got a call when I emailed him telling him my husband was being considered for resentencing that my husband and I filed before hiring Matthew. He said he was trying to call me but had the wrong number. The call was only to ask for more money 20,000.00 to be exact he gave me a shady sales pitch saying he would put what we gave him towards the fee for representation on the resentencing and we just give him 20,000 more. I should have read the complaint on him on the BBB website before giving him anything someone with the same experience that I had. In conclusion, I declined paying him another dime and asked him to provide the review that we paid for and never got it , The only thing he sent my husband was a bill of charges for phone calls that he said he made to us regarding his case . No case review was ever done he just took our money.

Mr. Barhoma got all charges dismissed! I called him when my son got a DUI. He was charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance. Mr. Barhoma explained things so well. He eventually did exactly the strategy he outlined for us during our initial ca...ll. Mr. Barhoma knew the downtown la courthouse very well. He was able to work his magic and dismiss all charges! Mr. Barhoma restored my son a full life. And no amount of money could be worth that. Thank Mr. Barhoma!!!!

Matthew is a double threat. He is extremely creative with his deal making skills. He helped my startup survive and when i needed him for another case that was in court, he was extremely savvy. I would give him 10 stars, if possible. Matt communicates extremely well (sometimes even on the weekends and... late nights) and always made sure to go the extra mile in protecting my interests. Matt is just amazing. I wish more lawyers could be as good as Matt. He was more than a lawyer. Matt was a friend and a coach in my corner.
