My son is a straight A student who is a undersized & has been bullied for years. I have made numerous complaints to the school & district. My son was picked on constantly & h...e was decided to defend himself, which lead to the school calling the police. We met mutiple attorneys, Shawn wasn't cheap, in fact he was the most expensive, but he was the person who me & my husband felt the must comfortable with. We hired him, he immediately sent a letter to the school district & dealt with the bullying (which he did for free). My son was facing suspension from school & tarnishing his record, Shawn did not allow that to happen. We received an apology from the school Principal & District Board. The bully ended up being suspended & the school is now having bi-monthly bullying/mental health meetings. In relation to the criminal case, Shawn made it clear to us that he wanted to contact the filing attorneys to persuade them to not filing charges. We didn't know that was even an option. He said it would be a slim chance, but he would like to try. He called & informed us he is going to meet with the head district attorney in regards to the case, a few days later, we got word that charges were not going to be filed!!! I am a practicing physician at a major hospital in southern California. I had recently divorced my wife and was going through a very dark period. I made a terrible error in judgment which lead to an arrest for a DUI Hit & Run. To make matters worse, I have a prior DUI; not only did the new charge m...andate jail time, but a conviction would result in a suspension of my medical license and complete humiliation. After I was released I met with a handful of attorneys and I was not impressed; I felt like they were either after my money; they weren’t too aggressive and passionate; or they were just salesmen. My experience with this lawyer was one of the worst I have had in my life. He is an extremely unprofessional and arrogant individual who has zero regard for anything except his pocket. I hired him to help me with a fine I had gotten at work for accidentally serving a 19-year old kid a beer at the end... of my shift. It was an honest mistake and my first and only offense ever. The day after I met with him and give him a significant retainer I received a letter in the mail stating that if I agreed to complete an ABC educational program all the charges would be dropped. I called Shawn right away excited about this news and he advise me not to do it and that he would just fight it in court. I explained that respected his lawyerly advise but was by no means interested in giving up this opportunity and risk seeing what happened in court. I then asked him for a refund since he DIDN'T have to do ANYTHING for the case. He refused. To make a long story short I had approached him on a few more occasions for a reimbursement which he finally agreed to and said he was going to send in the mail. That was a LIE. I worked and made an honest living. Under no circumstances were these remarks professional or appropriate for a man in his position to make. All in all I would say TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. THIS MAN IS NOT ONE I WOULD EVER WISH ANYONE TO DEAL WITH.
