My family hired Mr. Shemtoub and his firm after my sister got involved in a car accident that wasn't her fault. The case was a bit complicated, as immediately after the crash she felt fine, yet a few hours later she started getting dizzy spells, strong headaches, and blurred vision, and was rushed to... the ER. It turns out she had suffered a neck injury that cost over $5,000 just for the diagnosis and the short stay in ER, plus a neck collar and a course of several physical therapy sessions that added a lot to the cost. Meanwhile, the other driver who was responsible for the accident had disappeared. While he gave his insurance information and his cell phone number at the time of the accident, he never answered or returned calls or texts from us, and never answered phone calls from his insurance company either. As a result, his insurance company refused to pay any claims for my sister because 'they didn't have the other driver's side of the story' and claimed there wasn't anything they could do until they got in touch with him (which never happened). In the meantime, my family was getting hit with my sister's high medical bills that had started pouring in. This is when we turned to Mr. Shemtoub for help, as the situation was a big hot mess, and we didn't feel we had any leverage or getting anywhere with the insurance company. Hiring Michael was the best decision we could have made at that point in time. He was persistent, thorough, patient and kind with us, and left no stone unturned. Last year my grandmother was hit by a truck while sitting in her car. Her car was parked in an appropriate parking zone, but the driver claimed she was exiting the parking spot into a busy street when he hit her. No witnesses could determine whether or not she was moving, but I know my grandmother- a...nd she's the kind of woman who would own up to a mistake if she made one. The owner ended up trying to charge her for damages costing over $10,000! Which was completely absurd. The entire wreck not only was causing her emotional and mental stress- her insurance rates had gone up and she was having neck problems. She never said they were from the accident, but the entire family was sure they were- as they started about four days after it happened. My uncle began looking for a lawyer for my grandmother about a month after the accident. The driver of the truck was being just plain ridiculous. We're not the kind of people who take people to court over such miniscule issues, but the truck driver was being rude and absolutely obnoxious in requests to my grandmother (who is too sweet to stand up for herself). She as going to fork over the money, but everyone in the family avidly disagreed. Michael, right from the start, was very respectful. He didn't push my grandmother in any legal direction she didn't want to go. She wanted to keep it cordial and so did our family. We didn't want any snide lawyer trying to weasel more money out of the situation. Michael didn't do that. He went in with a clear head and kept all of our requests in mind throughout the entire process. We have a fairly big family- all of which were involved in the case in some way or another. It was really important that we all be kept informed. Michael made sure each of us were kept up to date on what was going on. Would ask us questions if need be. And always assured us that he was staying within the requests of my grandmother. Michael was extremely knowledgable on car accident cases and knew what we could do and what we couldn't do. He answered honestly each of our questions. He addressed our concerns with respect. And he got back to us in a timely manner if we ever had to leave a message with him. By the end of the case the truck driver dropped all charges and agreed to pay the damages himself. My grandmother on the other hand was compensated legal fees. Her car had barely any damages, so she agreed to pay that part. And although we pushed her into taking action on her physical pain- she didn't. And Michael, who could have taken advantage of that aspect, agreed to let her make the decision on whether or not she wanted to go forth with that kind of case. She didn't- and he never pushed it. Overall a really trustworthy and respectable guy. I'm glad we chose him.

Michael is a fantastic lawyer and does his job more then perfect. I recently went through him for a terrible car accident I was in. I was afraid I wouldn't get any settlement out of the accident and be at loss of my car.
