Great attorney and great guy

If you're looking for a lawyer who shoots straight and responds quickly you've found your guy. Luckily, I haven't had the need of a personal injury attorney but I've recommended Brian to friends who have, and they sing Brian's praises, saying he's really sharp and great to work with. ...Brian has also helped me a number of times with consultations. And he has recommended other lawyers who practice in fields he doesn't cover and they were great recommendations. I really can't recommend him enough.

He is the best

In January of 2016 I was seven months pregnant. I was sitting in my Camry listening to some Opera music at a red light on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. I was rear ended at around forty five miles per hour. I never even heard breaks. When I came to, I realized what had happened as the driver ...in front of me ran toward me with his phone in hand. All I could say to him was that I was pregnant and he got on the phone with 911 immediately. My neck and shoulder were having sharp pain and I looked over to my right and realized I could see my husbands restaurant where he worked. I had a speed dial on my car phone so I pressed to call him. I started crying for him to come outside. My neck and shoulder were in blinding pain at that point and I couldn’t feel the baby moving inside of me. I thought she was dead. My husband was at my side moments later as the medics and firefighters arrived to the scene. I ended up being airlifted to a near bye hospital and was put through hours of painful, traumatizing, and emotional treatment. My husband wasn’t allowed to ride with me in the helicopter to hospital and the first person he called when he got in his car to drive to me was Brian Brieter. Not only is Brian Breiter a friend but my husband had worked with Brian in a previous accident in years before when he had been injured by another driver so he sought his advice right away. Brian kept Mike calm over the phone as he drove frantically to be by my side explaining to Brian what had happened to the best of his ability and the state he last saw me in. After a full traumatic day I was told I had a concussion, a tear in my left labrum, severe whip lash, and an injured neck. I was put in a neck brace and a sling and left the hospital that late night miserable, and very pregnant. The Law Offices of Brian Breiter were a light in the darkness. Doctors appointments, physical therapy, pain, migraines, a scheduled caesarean, never knowing if our daughter would have side affects from this horrible accident, Brian Breiter and his staff were there for us through all of it. The month of January felt like a hundred years. February came and I’m now eight months pregnant. My husbands parents bought us two nights at a hotel in San Diego as a relaxing “baby moon” I was still in a sling, and a neck brace. Icing in the hotel before going to dinner but trying my best to relax as much as I can and take a small break from the many doctors appointments we had been facing. Mike and I were on our way home in a rental car from San Diego (because my car was in the repair shop from the previous accident) We were listening to “My Funny Valentine” on the radio and we were slammed on my passenger side of the car. I was thrown into Mike and we watched the driver who hit us frantically try to drive away. Mike chased after him as I began crying and luckily traffic came to a stop. I called 911 on the phone and Mike ran out of the car to speak to driver. The driver had seemed to have fallen asleep at the wheel and his daughter was sleeping in the back of the car without a seat belt on. The police officer arrived and offered medical treatment. I made an emergency call to my Doctor and he advised me if I showed signs of labor to go to hospital otherwise I would just see him first thing in morning. Well, it turned out this driver was an uninsured motorist. I went through another traumatic round of testing. When our daughter was born via cesarean my neck was so inflamed that when the epidural was administered I had unbearable pain. When you go through the experience we went through it’s hard to fight for yourself. Well Brian and Mark were there to fight for us every step of the way. And in January 2019 we were handed a very large settlement check. We are forever grateful to the Law Offices of Brian Breiter and we will work with them and refer our friends to them for the rest of our lives.

Best Lawyer In LA!

On October 21st of 2016 I was riding my bike, heading to the store for a quick snack. I was heading east on Rose Ave. toward Lincoln, and keeping a moderate pace in the bike lane. It was a gorgeous day. As I was just entering a crosswalk, I noticed a car coming from the opposite direction was just... about to turn left onto the street I was crossing. The driver was moving quite fast and it was clear there was no way for me to get out of the way quick enough. I called out to the driver hoping to get his attention to slow down, but it was clear he didn't see me. As he entered the crosswalk, I tried to veer my bike toward the right to avoid being hit straight on. Both my body and my bike slammed into the front end of his car - passenger side. I went flying in one direction and my bike in the other. The whole event felt like slow motion, yet was only a matter of seconds from the time I saw the car approaching to the moment of impact. The car had hit me pretty hard on the left side of my hip, I flew through the air, and then landed straight onto the same hip. In trying to stand up, I could barely move, which didn't concern me at the time, as I was just grateful to be alive. The man who hit me was in a hurry to pick his son up from daycare, and unfortunately didn't have any insurance. My good friend immediately took me to the hospital. As we were in the waiting room, she contacted Brian. Several years prior, she had been struck head on by a car while walking across a cross-walk and suffered permanent damage to her back - Brian was her lawyer and helped her tremendously through her case. While in the hospital, Brian advised me on all tests, questions, and images to be taken. The next day we discussed the accident in further detail, and I was grateful for he and his team to take my case. Because the man who hit me didn't have insurance, I filed a claim against my own policy. I have excellent insurance and this is why we pay into things... for our own protection! My X-rays showed that I had fractured my pelvis, one rib, and severe whiplash. Over the next year, I was barely able to walk or even sit for longer than 5 minutes without excruciating pain. This was incredibly challenging for my work, as I'm a Pilates instructor, dancer, and Executive Director of a non-profit. I had to take time off from teaching and performing, and even sitting to work at a computer was challenging. I am not a person who goes to see doctors. I take care of myself as best I can with holistic practices. So when I needed help and referrals for finding proper physicians to look at my injuries, both Brian and Mark were 100% available. After about a year and a half of rehab, I'm doing so much better (thank goodness!) Since day one, Brian and Mark have been fully present for me. Helping me along the way, offering support in any way I needed, and have been completely transparent with everything related to my case. Nearly three years later, and my case has just come to completion - We received the full settlement amount from my former insurance company. I am BEYOND grateful for Brian, Mark, and everyone in their team who had a part in my case - And of course grateful to my friend for calling Brian on that first day. If you have been in an accident and are looking for the BEST representation, don't hesitate to call Brian's office - He's the best.

A couple of years ago ...

A couple of years ago it was a beautiful day in Los Angeles and I was driving to the airport, next thing I know I’m in a horrible accident and my life is turned upside down. I’ve never been in a crash like this before, and I knew it was serious. It was obvious I was going to need legal help so I star...ted searching online and asking friends. After doing tons of research I narrowed my search down to two law firms, the Law Offices of Brian Breiter and Movagar and Yamin. I met with both firms and was impressed with each of them. When I interviewed them, I asked what their opinions were of the other firm, and they both said the same thing, great lawyers you can’t go wrong. I found out after talking with Brian Breiter that Nick Movagar used to work with him and that they often work on cases together. At that point Brian suggested that both firms could work together on the case, and that’s exactly what happened. I thought how can I lose, I get two lawyers for the price of one. Nick was amazing at helping me get access to the best doctors. I ended up needing a serious back surgery, and he found one of the best spine surgeons in Los Angeles. The recovery was hard, but Brian and Nick made it easy. After the surgery they both arranged to have a nurse take care of me at home so I wouldn’t be alone. Nick arranged for a great physical therapy and after care. Because the injuries were so serious and my medical bills were high the case had to go into litigation. Nicks firm handled the initial part of the case. When it became obvious that the insurance company was not going to pay what I deserved, Brain took over and prepared the case for the trial. I felt in great hands with both firms. Nick and Brian made themselves available to me anytime. I had questions, a lot, and would sometimes text them on the weekends or in the middle of the night and they were always there to reassure me. The time came for the trial, but just before that the defense probably got scared and agreed to go to mediation. It was a long hard negotiation and Brian was there the whole way. He was a great negotiator, and we were able to settle the case for a fantastic and very fair outcome. At the end of the case, Nick was amazing, he made sure that my medical bills, which were very high because I did not have insurance, were reduced so that I was left with a large part of the settlement. I really appreciated how hard he fought for me. It was a hard choice choosing between these two great attorneys, so I chose them both. I was lucky they agreed to work together, they make a great team. Thank you guys for taking such good care of me! 5 star service.

Kind, compassionate, reliable, the Best!

I chose Brian Breiter as my attorney initially based on his Yelp reviews. While I realize this may sound crazy, and I understand sometimes Yelp reviews can be “manufactured”, the sheer amount of reviews (complemented by glowing reports) are highly unlikely to be fabricated. I had the misfortune to ...be rear-ended at a standstill for the second time within 2 years. I suffered greatly with many injuries including numerous spinal surgeries throughout the first accident, and , again with the second. I had a horrible experience with the representation I received during the first accident and, admittedly, developed a “distaste” (to say the least) for attorneys and a blatant mistrust for their professional guidance. So, it was with this hardened prejudice that I found myself obdurate toward Attorney Breiter at our initial consultation and, although injured, began spewing my previous negative experience and “been there done that/ won’t take any S*** anymore” attitude. It was at this time, he simply asked calmly…”would you like a cup of tea”? I was so taken aback from the kindness of the statement alone, as well as the realization that I was being heard and listened to, and it was shocking. My previous attorney did not acknowledge me personally, just my case and would rush me out of the office for the next “cash cow”…and never once was I offered a beverage. So this was a small, but telling action, and I resolved to retain him that day. In accident cases, you are likely in a waiting game for about 2 years and during the course of this, you periodically need to update your file with medical records, etc, as you try and heal. You will not always meet with the high man on the totem pole, but instead with assistant attorneys, administrative staff, etc. I must complement Mark Rubashkin, with whom I had the most interaction. They say employees are a reflection of the top brass, and I had the pleasure to find the rare species of personal injury/ accident firms whose entire staff truly care and who are all kind and considerate with regard to their clients’ welfare. My emails were always answered expeditiously and respectfully, and all phone calls were answered without long waits, or no wait at all. Attorney Breiter even texts with you. My case was handled with consideration for my future and I was was treated fairly and with dignity. It was with such regard, that, upon receiving the limits of the insurance policy (and no further opportunity to pursue damages), that Brian Breiter’s office even reduced their fee, knowing what I received would not be enough to compensate me for my impending necessary future medical issues. I doubt any other attorney in this nation would be so considerate. I am forever thankful for Brian Breiter, Mark Rubashkin, and all the wonderful staff at this firm. If you find yourself, or your family needs the services of a PI attorney, call them immediately.
