We were trying to survive

After losing our jobs to an overseas entity and going through our savings and retirement trying to survive, we relocated to AZ to be near our son and grandchildren. After a few months we made the hard decision to file bankruptcy and look for a lawyer. I researched online and found three in Surprise I... would talk to. Upon meeting Dan (our first of the three) for the consultation, my wife and I decided to go no further. He took the time and explained the procedures; asked general questions about our debt, and told us that he was not the cheapest, nor was he not the most expensive and that we should not make a decision until meeting with other lawyers. That’s what sold us on Dan! He and Clorinda kept us up to speed on what was happening, prepared whatever paperwork was needed and did a great job throughout the process. I would recommend the Dodds Law Firm to anyone in need of a good lawyer.

Stay away from this firm

This review is a reflection of my opinion about the terrible/awful experience I had with this law firm. The decision to hire Dodds law firm was a regrettable and unfortunate one. The consultations I had with Dan Dodds aimed to persuade and convince that he has solutions and answers to my legal matter...s. Once I signed on and paid the retainer fees, the solutions went out of the window, and become insensible and unadvisable. He made some promising resolutions during the consultation only to secure a client. Then He later denied he never made, that’s when I realized I was lured into a trap, and deliberately misled and misguided, my true intentions and what I intended to do were rerouted and he ultimately pursued a course of action that is differs from my desired outcome, rooted in dishonesty, neglect can be used as a dishonest tactic to avoid obligations. Dan Dodds failed to act on time sensitive court orders; he failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in dealing with my case. Which resulted in missing out the chance for a positive resolution. Dan’s procrastination and unwillingness to move forward and waiting longer then necessary in my case left me feeling out of control and helpless. He failed to take timely and swift legal action. Additionally I suffered unnecessary anxiety and stress due to him playing fast and loose with headlines the client's vulnerability and distress are exploited, and preyed upon by this firm. I ended up paying thousands of dollars in legal fees, Ultimately I am still at square one. He established a corrupt system where he marking up time by inflating the hours spent on a case. Prolonging a legal process unnecessarily to maximize fees, abusing his position where the client is compelled to accept and pay for unnecessary services, his fees are excessive, exorbitant, unreasonable designed to Deplete the client’s trust account and ensure that the client will not receive any refund from the payments made to the firm. There is a lack of financial transparency in the firm's billing practices difficult to detect without careful scrutiny of itemized bills. Charging excessive. Unconscionable fees for reviewing file repeatedly or reviewing the same information multiple times. Billing at their high rate for the administrative task of simply organizing or finding files, the firm over billing often masked by vague time entries like “work on file” or “review documents”. Lawyers have an ethical obligation to keep their clients reasonably informed about the status of their cases. However, Poor communication, neglecting client, not returning calls, failing to keep client informed about their case, are some of the unethical practices I experienced at dodds law firm. Taking a look back at the terrible experience I had, you must ask yourself, is that who you want to represent you and handle your case during the critical time in your life? The answer that is both intelligent and wise is (I don’t believe so). I don’t recommend this law firm to anyone, its untrustworthy and lacks integrity it should be investigated for unethical practices. Don’t be fooled by the fake paid reviews, I sincerely doubt if all of the positive reviews are legitimate and genuine. If you hire this law firm you will be lighting fire on your money and burning a hole in your wallet, you will set yourself up for a financial ruin you will be overwhelmed and drowned in fees and charges that exceed your expectations.my advise is to stay away from this firm, and think twice Before making a decision to hire a firm that will start draining your hard earned money and leave you high and dry.

They will drag your case out

I hired Dan Dodds last June ao th later he pawned me off to his partner. My experience with Mr Dodds was him telling me about all his successful cases but he never told me a plan of action for my case. Mr Coon had better bedside manner But overall that office is very chaotic Mr Dodd's will let you kn...ow you are inconveniencing him when you call Mr Coon will not respond to you until you send several emails and make several phone calls. The paralegals are clueless and have no idea what's going on most of the time. Every time I talk to them I hung up the phone feeling worse off than before. I finally ended up hiring a different attorney from a different law firm because this law firm just seems to drag cases out longer than they had to be. I was charged twice for the same documents to be submitted to the courts that never made it. I was advised to pay for mediation completely even though the other party had no attorney and was unwilling to compromise on anything The attorney did very little in mediation but then drafted up a temporary parenting plan and charged me for it without me approving it first. I was charged for them to discuss my case be at every time I talk to them they were confused I would even tell them that's what the other lawyers said to do and they would change the course of action. Overall I felt like I was charged for services I wasn't getting in the services I was getting was low quality what they do is not illegal but it's extremely unethical

Unsatisfied

Would not recommend this law firm to anyone. 2 court dates got me almost $10,000 of billing from them and didn’t get me anywhere in my case. They said that amount is what it would’ve costed if we went to trial and that they did not see it getting that far. They failed to resolve any of my issues. I h...ave been representing myself and since then have got a positive test result for meth on the mother of my kids and both of them have been seriously injured, now I’m stuck fighting this case myself with trial coming soon. When I need a lawyer the most, I can no longer afford one because they took more money than I could afford without helping me at all and I’m still trying to pay them off!
