First Time Offender

I got in trouble with an assault charge, it was my first offense. I was so frightened and had no idea what to do. Then I found Aaron Black online and his reviews were great. I got in touch with him and from the first meeting, I knew I was in good hands. He was there every step of the way and he handl...ed my case with professionalism, it seemed he really cared what happened to me and fought to get the best results. He interviewed the cops, and reviewed the video from the date of the incident, he got my case reduced from assault to a diversion criminal damage - that means my case will be dismissed with the completion of classes and payment. He had me prepared for sentencing and had me set up to complete the classes before you were ordered to do so. All in all, I would 100% recommend him as your attorney and he has made what seemed to be the worst thing to happen to me in my life into a palatable experience with a better than I could have imagined plea agreement.

Incredible DUI Lawyer!

I found Aaron when Googling DUI lawyers in the Phoenix Valley after being cited and arrested with a DUI Impairment To The Slightest Degree after running a red light. I saw all of the 5 star reviews that Aaron has on Avvo and decided to give him a call the next day. He picked up the phone on a Sunday ...during Mother's Day. He spoke with me and gave me insight into how the process works. I retained him the following day. Aaron is fantastic in that he is dedicated to his clients 100%. He will answer all of your texts and phone calls at all times of the day. He understands that being arrested for a DUI charge is a stressful time and he is there to help/guide you in the right direction. Even though I was cited for a DUI Impairment To The Slightest Degree, my bloodwork came back at .085. The town of Gilbert then added a Per Se .08 or above DUI charge. When it came time for court Aaron compiled an extensive list of defenses for my case. He attacked every angle you could think of to show that there is reasonable doubt I was driving impaired. (I did fairly well on the Field Sobriety Test, so that helped). When the prosecutor received Aarons extensive list of defenses casting doubt on the town of Gilbert's charges, the prosecutor immediately offered me a plea deal to accept a charge of Reckless Driving with a $250 fine, drop all DUI charges, and the red light charge. Aaron's defenses were so good that I am still convinced to this day that he would have been able to convince the jury that there is reasonable doubt that I was driving impaired and have gotten me an acquittal. Though, going to trial would have been thousands more dollars out of my pocket and I liked knowing that I could "end" this nightmare by accepting the plea. I decided to accept the plea for Reckless Driving with the $250 fine. The state of Arizona is the strictest in the United States on DUI's. In this state a DUI is a criminal offense. The mandatory minimums for DUI Impairment To The Slightest Degree and/or DUI Per Se .08 or above are 1 day in jail, 16 hr alcohol screening/counseling, interlock device in your car for 6 months, over $1,000 in fines, and Mother's Against Drunk Driving Course. I am originally from a different state where a first time DUI is a traffic violation only and NOT a criminal offense. I have been told in the past when being pulled over by police officers in that state (New Jersey) after drinking a couple beers that "it is okay to drive after a couple beers". Clearly in Arizona this is NOT the case. In this state the laws are extremely conservative and the police units are purposefully looking to arrest people for DUI's specifically even if those people are below the legal limit of .08. This was all a shock for me to learn coming from New Jersey. Aaron was there every step of the way to help me through this stressful time and to fight the town of Gilbert on my behalf. He is amazing at what he does. Having a DUI charge is extremely stressful and you might be panicking wondering what you are going to do while reading this review. Here is my recommendation: give Aaron a call as soon as possible. Retain Aaron as your attorney and let him do his work. The process takes a few months. In the meantime try not to stress about your case. Let Aaron do his thing and he will come up with every defense humanly possible for your case. He was able to get my charge of a DUI Impairment To The Slightest Degree & DUI .08 Per Se charges (which carry the minimums stated above) reduced to Reckless Driving with a $250 fine ONLY due to his ability to mount a defense for every aspect of my case. Additionally, I would like to note, when Aaron and I were in the courtroom to accept my plea deal for Reckless Driving, I noticed that the prosecutor, judge, and other defense attorneys in the room all had an incredible respect for Aaron and his work. The lead prosecutor and the other defense attorneys made comments to Aaron on how good of an attorney he is. My advice: HIRE AARON!

BEST DUI LAWYER IN AZ

The night before Christmas Eve I stupidly decided to make a horrible decision to drink & drive. I was terrified and paranoid about what was going to happen seeing as AZ is the harshest state when it comes to DUIs. I was involved in a wrong way head on collision and my BAC was a .28 , well above the l...imit . After dealing with all the aftermath the police took me home and I went to the hospital. It was Christmas Eve by then and I was freaking out because who would help me on a holiday like this ? I read so many reviews so many different places and thank God Mr. Black was my first choice . I left a message and not even an hour later did I get a call from him . ON CHRISTMAS EVE! My case clearly wasn’t easy and I’m pretty sure I got annoying with all the anxiety and questions but he definitely helped me and kept me calm with the answers the whole duration of the hearings . I only had to go to one hearing and that was my sentencing . Taking my classes I was court ordered there were numerous attendees who mentioned after their sentencing their lawyer disappeared. Mine did not & will still be around after my interlock time is over ! I was facing felony charges and 4 years in prison . I ended up with 3 days in jail (only 32 hours thankfully) ankle monitor for 13 days , 36 hours of dui classes , & a super extreme dui (misdemeanor).I couldn’t have asked for a better sentencing ! Mr.Black is your guy !

If you’re looking for a phenomenal attorney, look no further.

I am one of the very fortunate ones as Aaron was able to get my DUI case completely dismissed. I work with attorneys daily, so I can tell you with experience that Aaron is a great one. The thing that really set him apart from other Attorneys is how responsive he was. He always answers his phone and r...eturns emails and texts immediately. He is also very honest and will not waste your money needlessly. And he did a great job of keeping me on track and focused on what would win the case vs what my feelings were telling me to do. He’s not hype he is for real, so if you’re looking for a phenomenal attorney, look no further.

Mr

Aaron is hands down the best lawyer I could have chosen after I was stupid enough to get in the car after having had too much to drink. I had an extreme DUI that he was able to get reduced to a regular DUI. I was extremely ashamed, and very nervous about what was laying ahead of me. I googled at t...alked to 3 different lawyers before I chose Aaron. He was the only one that seemed genuinely interested, and told me in detail how he would handle it and what I could expect out of the process I was entering. I was very disturbed about the whole ordeal, but it really helped that Aaron was so accessible and that he took time to calm me down and talk through all my questions. There is no front office so you will only talk to Aaron, and if he is in court or a meeting, he will call you back later the same day. I will highly recommend Aaron Black. You might regret a lot of choices you made in, you WILL NOT regret going with Aaron.
