Matt Fendon’s extracurricular activities keep him from giving his cases the detailed attention they advertise. Don Fendon’s reputation draws clients in, then you are signed up and assigned to other than a real lawyer. Disappointed with mismanagement leading to loss of my case, I researched deeper int...o Matt Fendon, interestingly, I found other complaints just like mine. I hired Matt Fendon to represent me in a workers comp case against my employer for spinal injuries sustained by their dump truck blowing a tire while going 65 mph and slamming the truck head on into the freeway median and the seatbelt broke on impact throwing me about the cab. With witnesses and lots of evidence, it should have been a slam dunk winning case, instead, I still suffer from a spinal neck injury in which Matt couldn't even negotiate medical treatment to fix. I experienced a high turnover in his office staff therefore it was understaffed and they made lots of mistakes. They didn’t have a good internal or external communication system, they freely postponed court dates, they sent substitutes to court without telling you, he collaborated with the opposite sides lawyer, didn’t notice the judge’s approval for a doctor change and instead of billing the insurer they charged me for Matts excellent, good in court, specialized doctors evaluation, which had mistakes that Matt didn’t catch until during court. I found a long history of charges between this doctor and Matt. He took 25% of each check I got from workers comp without me approving the charges. When I caught on to billing mistakes and requested a breakdown of charges to be sent with my weekly invoicing, it wasn’t a breakdown they sent. Matt allowed the insurers medical examiners to release me back to work and their lawyers to throw out my Phoenix Barrows top rated neurosurgeon examination report. After not winning me any compensation or medical help, Matt asked if I wanted to reopen/appeal my case, he never said I would have to give them more money or pay out of pocket for any doctor he sent me to for evaluation.
