It is my pleasure to give my recommendation for Krista and Joel. I recently settled my case against my ex-employer for wrongful termination and withholding my severance pay which i was entitled but denied. Krista and Joel worked tirelessly with me to exposed my employer's shady practices and get me t...he compensation i deserved. The end settlement is more than what i had expected. Their combined knowledge are invaluable to achieving the result I got. However, the most important part of our, now ended, journey is Krista listened to me vent when i had no one else to talked to. We spent hours talking over the phone and Krista patiently listened and counseled me with grace and true professionlism. Krista is very responsive to my questions and concerns and answered with lighting speed. It was a pleasure working with them. My final thoughts, yes i would defiantly recommend Krista and Joel. Yes, i would seek their counsel again if this ever happens again. Thank you.

Highly Recommended

From the beginning Krista was right there, available, and assisted me through tough times. Krista was attentive, honest, and very supportive. She handled my case with professionalism, and was always available to talk things out (rare in today's world); and explained all the pros and cons. She did ...not make choices for me, but provided advice and information to lessen the stress and ease my mind. Reasonable rates and superb staff! I highly recommend you check around, but you won't find a better group than this one.

Dynamic Lawyer who cares!

I called Krista with a termination case that has become quite an emotional one. She returned my called that same day and gave me quick, thorough information over the phone to get me started. This was my first time working with an Employment Lawyer, so I didn't know what to expect. As others mentio...ned, her fees are extremely reasonable and she does all that she can to offer sound advice so you can negotiate civilly without involving legal assistance. I was in tears after we spoke, as I truly felt I had someone in my corner and that it would all work out! If you're looking for a dynamic, thoughtful, well-versed lawyer, Krista is your man!! I would recommend her to anyone.

Lack of courage or experience

Initially, Krista and Joel were very responsive, polite and receptive to my case. They listened attentively and provided me with a couple of options they thought were available and best suited to my situation- 1. submitting a letter of demand to the company with the intention to get some minimal mone...tary compensation and offering my resignation or 2. submitting a letter of demand with the intention to preserve my job. I decided on a 3rd option - leaving the company and submitting a letter of demand. After I left the company, Krista and Joel refused to take on my case and submit the letter of demand, on my behalf. My sense was that they were hesitant to represent me against a large corporation, because of lack of experience. They wanted to go for a quick and certain win (small settlement, with job resignation; quick income opportunity for them), but they were afraid to address/represent my concerns, on my terms. Worth mentioning is that they wanted as a form of payment 33% of the settlement amount. At that point, I looked up another lawyer, with more experience, great reviews and with a fairly high hourly fee. The risk was higher for me, using a lawyer that charged me upfront and hourly, rather than as a percentage of a potential settlement, but I knew that what happened to me was not right and that I have a strong case. After a lengthy process, the large corporation settled my case for about 3x what Krista and Joel anticipated would be the best-case scenario. My advice to Krista and Joel is that even though large corporations have a strong, experienced legal staff, we still have a country of law and order. If you see a client that has a strong case, have the gut and courage to go against large corporations, because there are laws that should (and do) protect the worker.

I am surprised by your review, given the extensive amount of time we spent with you (multiple phone calls, two in-person meetings) while only charging you a standard consultation fee. Our Firm's philosophy is to only take meritorious cases that we intend to litigate fully. Therefore, we only take cases when we are confident that the law has been violated and we feel the case would successfully go to trial if not resolved with a demand letter. This is, in our view, a benefit to both the potential client and the attorney. It means that we do not end up charging a client a large amount of money to pursue a losing case. Some attorneys may agree to take a more risky case, but the risk belongs to the client. The attorney gets paid either way. That is not our philosophy. In your situation, we stand by our decision not to represent you as, based upon the facts you presented to us, your case would not have successfully made it to a jury given the current state of the law. We don’t take money from a potential client if we are not almost certain that we will be successful given the facts of the case. Additionally, your review misrepresents our Firm and the reason we declined to represent you. Our firm is not afraid to take cases against large companies. We have represented several clients against many top-ranked Fortune 100 companies. We currently have a case pending in district court against a large Telecom company. In this respect, your statements about our courage and experience are simply not accurate. And I am puzzled by why you would feel compelled to make them. With that said, we are glad things worked out for you and wish you the best.
