Recommended to me by a bail bondsman when I got in a jam. Pretty much gave me the straight skinny, that I was looking at jail time given my charge. From the beginning, he gave me a course of action to pursue while he went to work on my defense. Utah's courts can never be accused of being a "rocket do...cket" but Jason was there whenever a new appearance was required. He managed to get the prosecutor to knock the charge down from 2nd degree felony [ 1-15 years] to 3rd degree felony [0-5 years], for which we took a plea deal. At sentencing, the prosecutor actually spoke in my behalf about my pro-active efforts [recommended by Jason] to correct my problem and after Jason's closing, the judge gave me a suspended sentence, 3 years probation, psychological help [already begun] and no electronic monitoring and no fine. It wasn't cheap by any means, but when one is initially looking at 1-15, pretty much a minimal investment to secure your freedom. Definitely 2 thumbs up on his skills, and this was not a DUI case, which is his specialty.

When I hired Mr. Schatz, the Driver’s License Division decision was to take no action and not deny, suspend, revoke or disqualify my driving privilege. They returned my license in 10 days and I was entitled to the impound fee. It also did not count towards any other vehicular infractions.
