Thoroughly impressed, don't look anywhere else

I was falsely accused of domestic violence by my now ex-wife, while we were going through our divorce. I was charged with a very serious felony, and as soon as I was released, I began to research domestic violence laws. One of the first things I found was an article written by Steve. My charges were ...in Denver, so I started looking at attorneys up there, but after meeting with several respected attorneys, I wasn't impressed. Sure, they all were intelligent, but none seemed passionate about my case. Remembering Steve's article I read, I decided to meet with him, even though he was in the Springs. The difference was night and day. It was evident that Steve really cared, it was refreshing. I hired him on the spot. 4 months later, after doing exactly everything he said needed to be done at our first meeting, my case was dismissed. In fact, Steve did such a good job proving the charges were based on lies, my ex-wife was charged with false reporting and influencing an official. All the attorneys I had initially met with told me that was nearly impossible, and I should just "worry about myself", but I thought it was so unfair. So did Steve and he pursued it. I can safely say, Steve is probably the most capable criminal defense attorney in the state. I so grateful to him for saving everything that is important to me, including the custody of my children. Thank you Steve.

I'm very impressed with my whole experience

I should start off by saying, I've never been in trouble before, but I made a horrible mistake and got in a car when I shouldn't have. I thought the DA's office would consider my past and I could take care of the problem myself. However, when I went to my first court date and sat down in a little off...ice, alone with a DA, I felt powerless and bullied, it became apparent that I needed someone on my side, at least to guide me through the case. I called about 6 attorney's, all of whom claim to specialize in DUI. 4 of them called me back, and I ended up meeting with 3 of them. One attorney wanted $9,000.00, which I thought was very high. I ended up meeting with Steve last, but after talking to the other 2 attorneys, Steve was a breath of fresh air. When I got to Steve's office, he was meeting with another client, but when they came out, I overhead Steve ask the gentleman how a recent family vacation went. I was struck by the fact that he knew details about this man's life like that, I got the impression that he wasn't trying to rush the guy out the door to get on with his next appointment, but rather, he was taking the time to learn about his clients life. When I sat down with him and explained my case, he walked me through the process, both what could happen to my license and what could happen at court. When I asked him what would happen to me, he made no guarantees, but told me different possible outcomes that could happen, this was in contrast to the 2 other attorneys I met with, both guaranteed me outcomes, but surprisingly the both promised different outcomes, but sounded to good to be true. Steve said he couldn't do that, he hadn't seen the police reports and would need to read those before telling me what the likely outcome was. I immediately could tell I could trust him, he wasn't going to make me promises that sounded to good to be true so I'd hire him, but told me the truth from the beginning. His price seemed very reasonable and after talking to me wife, I hired him. Throughout my case, I always knew what was happening. I could always log onto his computer system to see all of the documents filed, police reports, court dates and emails. My calls were always returned. The one phone call that he didn't return the same day, he was in trial on another case and had his paralegal Emily call me with the answer. Emily told me Steve was in trial and she had asked him my question, but told me he'd call me in the morning, to make sure my question was answered. Sure enough, first thing in the morning Steve called and apologized for taking so long to get back to me. It hasn't even been a day and he had already answered me. The entire experience was better than I thought it would be. The outcome was better than I expected and I was treated with respect throughout. Steve becomes your friend during the case, but what impressed me the most and caused me to write this was that my case ended in March. This past week I got an email from him checking in on me and making sure I didn't have any questions and everything I needed to do was getting done. Steve really exceeded my expectations, he goes above and beyond. I would highly recommend Steve, it's obvious to me that he's elite in his field, it's really the little things that make the difference. Thank you Steve.

Steve's a great attorney

Steve got my case dismissed before it was even in court. I was arrested, booked into jail and bonded out. They set my first court date for two weeks after I bonded out, and after meeting with and researching several attorneys, I hired Steve. He had ideas and thought of things no one else did, and fro...m the day I hired him, to my first court date, he had 10 days. He met with the DA, scheduled a polygraph and accompanied me to it, he and an investigator meet with all the witnesses and put together a very good defense. When he and I met with the DA the second time, two days before court, the DA agreed not to file any charges, the case was dismissed. Steve's one of those attorneys that you normally don't find in my experience. He did everything he said he would and I felt like he actually cared about me. I would never hire anyone else.

Would highly recommend

I would emphatically recommend Steve. My case came out so much better than I ever would have guessed. On my first meeting with him, prior to having my alcohol level, he laid out various scenarios about what we would do in differing situations. Sure enough, he did exactly what he said he would, only b...etter. He lived up to every expectation. What really solidified my opinion was one morning in Court. I arrived about 30 minutes early and watched what was happening in to every other case. It seemed like everyone got the same deal regardless of the attorney, even other attorneys I had interviewed were just parading their clients up to the front and pleading guilty. Steve got to court and the Judge promptly called my case. Steve commanded the courtroom, explaining for the prosecutor why my DUI case was being pled down to a simple speeding ticket. The Judge didn't bat an eye and accepted the plea (which I found out later is not normally allowed). After we were done as we were walking away, the Judge asked Steve about his baby, it was very clear to me that Steve is well liked and very well respected by everyone at the courthouse. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who would listen.

Best Lawyer in Colorado Springs, hands down

I hired Mr. Rodemer for my son's felony cases. Unfortunately, my son has been in trouble a number of times, and I have had to use several attorneys in town, a total of 5 before Steve. I never got the impression that any of them were doing anything for us, and yet we were paying them a ton. My son is ...not a bad person, but he has some mental health issues that often create problems and he finds himself in trouble. Steve was compassionate and kind, without judging my son. But what impressed me most was that he actually did what he said he was going to. If we talked over the phone and he said he was going to file something, three days later, I would get a copy of what he filed in the mail. With the other attorneys it would always be the same response "I changed my mind and decided that was something we wanted to file." The outcome on his case was better than it was the first time he was in trouble (which was much less serious). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr. Rodemer, I've finally found an attorney we can use.
