Could not be in better hands

Eric was not only tremendously helpful in explaining the legal process, but he was efficient and thorough in making sure the job got done, and my case was consequently dismissed. He was very responsive to all my questions and kept me updated with the case. Highly recommend Eric!

Great attorney

First-time charge, class B misdemeanor - I was beyond upset and frustrated at the process and what ended up not even being prosecuted, but Eric was helpful, understanding, and supportive, but factual throughout the entire process (which lasted for 14 months due to the courts). Definitely recommend.

Class B Misdemeanor-Theft

This summer, I was cited and released by APD after attempting to shoplifting a fragrance and a face product from an Austin department store. The cost of the merchandise totaled over $50, so I was charged with a Class B Misdemeanor and was set to appear in court in late August. Around this time, I h...ired Eric Lim to represent me. During our consultation, he was clear and confident in his course of action: he'd have the case dismissed using the Pre-Trail Diversion program. Since I had no previous criminal record and had just graduated from college, the program was the best option for me, as admission and successful completion of the program guaranteed that the case would show as "dismissed" on potential employers' criminal background checks. Not only did some other lawyers suggest different, lengthier courses of action, they also quoted me fees upwards of $2,000. Eric's representation was much more effective and affordable. Today, my case was dismissed via the Pre-Trial Diversion program. The conditions of the program require I complete 24 hours of community service, attend an 8-hour theft course, and stay out of legal trouble for 6 months. During the pre-trial phase, Eric made the process quick and easy for me to understand. He was straight-forward and attentive to my case. The friend I got caught shoplifting with hired another more known and expensive lawyer and he hasn't even been as attentive as Eric. In fact, his case is still pending. This wasn't my experience with Eric. Any questions that I had were promptly answered with a text or a personal phone call. I would hands-down recommend Eric Lim for anyone looking for a good criminal defense attorney. He has almost a decade of experience, is very sharp, and (importantly) he is friendly and doesn't belittle you or make you feel bad for your mistakes (something that I experienced from a few of the older lawyers I consulted with). If you've recently found yourself into some legal trouble, go with Eric Lim. You won't regret it.
