I was originally charged with assault and talked with Mike about my case and hired him immediately. He was reassuring but honest the whole way. Amazingly, to me anyway, we were able to get a deferment as long as I stayed out of trouble and followed the few simulations that they had on the list, and t...o my pleasure, I DID NOT have to admit any guilt. Well I unfortunately found trouble again 6 months later when I was stopped for a DUI - Second. Again Mike came in and with honesty and support we fought through it. And with his exceptional people skills in and outside the courtroom, knowledge of the judicial process and laws, he was able to get BOTH cases dismissed fully. I will be hiring Mike down the road to expunge them both (Assault - Fam and DUI 2nd) from my record. I was undergoing an extremely difficult, life-threatening case. I had researched a few lawyers, before making my decision. Most of the lawyers did not presumably have the skill set that Mr. Trent possessed. Once hired, Mr. Trent never ceased to amaze me. Yes, of course, I was worried. I lost hours of... sleep and went without meals once in a while -due to stress. Michael Trent did everything in his power to combat these feelings and emotions, attempting to reassure me everything was and would be okay. I texted him regarding an incident involving my teenage son, he responded back immediately and provided valuable insight on the incident without hesitation. I used Mike to represent me for a 2nd DWI. One of the questions I asked him was "why should I hire a lawyer, the evidence points against me" and he responded "because I can get you good results" and that he did. Basically if I stay out of trouble for one year my case will be dismissed. In the begi...nning the DA did not agree to this but Mike somehow made it happen. I confirm what the other reviews say, Mike was at every court date, and always responded promptly to my calls or texts. I would recommend him to my own family or friends should they ever need a criminal defense attorney.
