My husband, of 2 years, was transported from work to a local hospital on 12/2/10 for chest pains and dizziness. His heart checked out fine but his blood count was low. The on call Gastroenterologist, wasn't available so the ER physician admitted him for a bleeding ulcer, where he received 4 units o...f blood through the night. The next morning, he was assisted to the bathroom but left unattended. He collapsed due from bleeding out. CPR was conducted for approximately 16 minutes. He was revived and sent to SICU, where he coded again for 3 minutes. One week later, my husband died of brain damage at the age of 41 years old, leaving behind a 38 year old wife and 10 year old daughter.
