Great Attorney!!

My husband and I were coming back from vacation in Mexico when he was detained at the airport. He is a permanent resident but had a past charge from a couple years ago that was solved with local authorities but not with immigration. We didn't understand at the time that if you are a green card holde...r and have an arrest, you have to resolve it with both local authorities AND immigration. I reached out to several other attorneys but I didn't receive the necessary attention needed to get my husband out as soon as possible. Mr. Galaviz was very attentive and personable. He answered all my questions and was honest with me that it wouldn't be easy but there was a way. He made the whole process easy to understand and does require a lot of paperwork but everything he asked for was helpful in winning my husband's case. Mr. Galaviz gave me the hope I lacked at times and thanks to all his hard work and dedication my husband is now home with us. I would highly recommend this attorney to all those in need.

Reliable, Trustworthy, Hardworking Attorney

On April 21,2015 vacationing from Mexico. My husband a U.S.A. permanent resident was detained @George Bush Airport(Houston, TX) Due to past charges from his teenage years that consisted of battery on a Leo(officer),controlled substance, possession of marijuana. Confused &scared w/possibility of my hus...band being deported,I went online for a lawyer TX & FL. I left msgs for 7 lawyers & only received 4 return calls. Each lawyer would say pretty much the same thing, needed a retaining fee upfront in order to see him,“I’m like really?”,@this point all we wanted was an answer to one question,“would he be deported?” they all kept telling me they needed to work on his case to give me some type of answer but that I needed to hire them first, one lawyer that I can remember very prestigious & ranked @ 10 on AVVO he sympathetically calmed me down spoke to me & sounded legit that something can be done,so I retained him to go see my husband &give some type of peace of mind as he was in a chaotic mindset.Following days the retained lawyer goes & visits my husband telling him“will see, that He had a difficult case in hand & didn’t seem to have a fighting chance due to his charges”my husband not happy w/that answer desperately looked for a 2nd opinion w/out me knowing,he was referred to Abraham Galaviz. My husband called & met w/Galaviz right away,Galaviz started looking into his issues &pinpointing what is what, explaining to my husband that he had a fighting chance, meanwhile I got a call from the lawyer I retained w/the news that he wouldn’t be able to help my husband due to him moving to the Conroe facility &he didn’t travel that area but that he could refer me out to a good colleague,if he would of disclose that he didn’t travel throughout the state of TX I would of never wasted my $on him &use that amount towards a permanent lawyer. We hired Galaviz which started working on the case right away.Submitted a motion of cancellation of removal by June he had his 1st court appearance, after that the ball was rolling, every time they came up w/something Galaviz was ready to counter act &defend my husband rights of being in the USA,the judge approved release in Sept2015 but the TA(trial attorney) fought that decision & Judge granted another month of proof to revoke grounds of release, Galaviz diligently prepared for the following court hearing in mid Oct.which TA fail to comply in a timely manner or evidence nor had sufficient grounds to revoke Galaviz’s motion(s).This case was such a roller coaster &intense we thank God for putting Galaviz in our path,my husband returned home Oct2015. In 2016 we consulted w/FL lawyers to apply for citizenship since we are FL residents, over 5 lawyers reviewed my husband’s past charges & court rulings, advised him to stay as a permanent resident & not to bother in applying as he would not be eligible,we called Galaviz in Dec2016, shared what the FL lawyers were saying & again, Galaviz w/confidence ASSURED us that my husband would not have a problem in obtaining citizenship,we hired Galaviz, immediately w/in the same month he filed the application for citizenship by Feb2017 we received notice for biometrics &receive study guide for the citizenship interview &test. By Sept2017 we received the interview appt but due to Hurricane Irma we had to reschedule, which Galaviz’s office took care of that.In Oct2017 my husband was scheduled for the citizenship interview in Florida. He expressed concerned due to all the red tape & issues w/immigration court in the past in Texas that we requested Galaviz to be present just in case something was to come up, he’s proven over &over to be a hands on lawyer to get it done right the first time.My husband past the test & interview, we waited 21 days as instructed by USCIS for decision. As of 12/01/17,my husband is a UNITED STATE NATURALIZED CITIZEN &Galaviz is to thank for his honesty, hard work, &patience due to our anxiety,we guarantee you;you hire Galaviz,he will have your best interest at heart.

Mother got detained by immigration in the airport

My mother was coming back from a vacation in Mexico but when she arrived to the airport she was detained because of past convictions. We started looking for a lawyer that could help us keep our mom here. We consulted with another lawyer, with 36 years of law practice, before we consulted with Mr. Gal...aviz and he told us that he could not help my mother with the last conviction (felony-controlled substance). Then someone reffed us to Mr. Galaviz, he immediately told us confidently that he could help us.. After we hired him my mom was out in 3wks (other woman there for 6mos to a year waiting). She had several convictions(from 13 yrs ago and more) that would easily had her deported. Mr Galaviz informed us each step of the way, and fought for my mom to the last minute. Now my mother is in the process of becoming a US Citizen, my family will always be grateful that Mr. Galaviz helped us keep our mother here with us. I will definitely recommend him.

Father was deported

My father was deported about 5 yrs ago, we had already lost hope of him ever having the opportunity to return to the United States legally since this wasn't his first time being deported. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Galaviz, he's a very professional, compassionate, and trustworthy lawyer. When... I explained my father's case to Mr. Galaviz he knew it wouldn't be an easy case but he didn't turn me down. He studied my father's case and informed us that there was a possibility that my father could return to the United States. I held on to that small possibility and confided in Mr. Galaviz's word and work. He put in a lot of time and effort into my father's case, he was able to file a motion to reopen the first case my father had for which he had been deported. I didn't even know that was possible, this showed me Mr. Galaviz is very proficient. He was always honest and told us he couldn't reassure us that it would work, but that he would do what he could. He seemed confident so I had faith that everything would work out. What I thought would take more than 2 years actually only took a year if not less than that. Once my father was back in the United States, we did encounter a few issues with ICE, which Mr. Galaviz had already told us ahead of time that could happen. With time and patience, my father was back home. He won his case and was released without a bond. He is now legally working and back home with his family. None of this would have been possible if it weren't for Mr. Galaviz's hard work and dedication.
