Law Board

The staff always responded in a timely manner and kept me abreast of the going ons with my case. Mr. Bennett stayed in constant contact with the staff attorney who was assigned to my case and always informed me about any changes with my hearing.

He never let me down

I had an attorney that was supposed to be helping me fight a case. Unfortunatley, I was in jail for 4 months waiting for my court date to arrive. I then had that attorney give me a letter of release so that I could find someone else to represent me because I didn't feel like that attorney had my bes...t interest. I was given Bob's name from a mutual friend. I wrote to him and explained my situation and asked if he would represent me. He said he would. A couple of days later Bob was able to get me released from jail and allowed to wait at home with my family for my court date. Bob was very supportive and kept me informed through the whole process letting me know what to expect and what my different options were. I was so nervous because I had never been in this sort of situation before but Bob had so much confidence, he really put me at ease. Needless to say, my case was dismissed and I was able to get on with my life. Anytime I have a question even to this day, I know that I can contact Bob and ask him about it. He has never let me down.

Paralegal - Wife of licensing client

My husband recently received a positive ruling before the Texas Board of Law Examiners. I know if we had not retained Mr. Bennett, we would not have received this result. My husband was suspended from the practice of law and had a Supreme Court previously deny his application for reinstatement in a...nother jurisdiction. To say everything was on the line that day before the BOLE is an understatement. We were not able to retain Mr. Bennett until a mere 2 weeks outside the hearing date. He made himself available to us when necessary, to inlude time over the weekend, so we were all prepared. He diligently and effectively prepared my husband and our witnesses, who are practicing attorneys in Texas. This was not an easy task, as attorneys do not make the best witnesses. ;) At the hearing, Mr. Bennett was calm and made quick, strategic decisions that resulted in our postivie outcome. One thing I personally admire most about Mr. Bennett is that he is a straight shooter. He told us exactly what to expect and our chances of a positive outcome. He did not "soft sell" anything. I've worked as a paralegal for over 15 years and I appreciate the respect he afforded my husband and myself by being completely honest with us ..even if it was hard to hear at times. If you are going before the BOLE the single most important decision you have to make is who is going to represent you. Mr. Bennett is your only choice....

The right man before the Texs Board of Law Examiners

I hired Mr. Bennett to represent me at a character and fitness hearing in front of the Texas Board of Law Examiners. As I was currently suspended in two other jurisdictions, I felt my case posed unusual challenges that required the assistance of an attorney who was very familiar with both the Board a...nd the law regarding admission to the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Bennett quickly grasped the issues that would be of primary concern to the Board. He helped focus my efforts to present the case that would be the most responsive to the Board’s concerns. When I walked into the hearing I felt prepared and confident I had chosen the right attorney to represent me before the Board. During the course of the hearing, technical questions regarding the rules arose which would prove crucial to my case. It became apparent the Board respected the opinion of Mr. Bennett as he deftly opined on the rules. His insight and guidance in the presentation of our case helped me gain a probationary license to practice law. At all times, Mr. Bennett candidly explained his evaluation of my case and the chances I had of obtaining a license. He helped foster reasonable expectations about both the proceeding and the possible outcome. His representation helped put me at ease at a very stressful and important time of my life. I have had many attorneys try to help me with licensing matters in multiple jurisdictions. I finally found the help I needed in Mr. Bennett. I recommend him to anyone facing a hearing before the Board of Law Examiners without any hesitation.

Experienced, Responsive Attorney For Bar Licensing Issue

When I applied for admission to the Texas bar, Bob Bennett provided expert counsel as I navigated the unfamiliar waiver request process. Without his help, my application may have been denied. I am an attorney licensed in another state who practiced law there for more than 10 years. A native Texan..., I recently relocated to Austin and applied in Texas for admission to the bar without taking the exam. I qualified for admission without examination on all but one of the requirements. The Board of Law Examiners was poised to deny my application until I requested a waiver of the rule they believed I had not met. Waiver requests are considered by a Board panel in a public hearing. With only 7 days advance notice, I learned my waiver request would be heard on the following Friday. A friend had recommended that I call Bob if ever I was to appear before the Board, and I quickly picked up the phone to seek his advice. Even though he already was preparing to represent two others at that week's Board meeting, Bob promptly started working on my matter. Over the next 7 days, Bob gave me invaluable advice in preparation for the hearing. He zeroed in on the issues the Board was focused on and guided me in gathering additional documentation to support my waiver request. His depth of experience with the Board and his thorough understanding of its processes was a huge advantage in preparing for the hearing. Also, when we appeared for the hearing, it was clear that he was well respected by everyone at the Board of Law Examiners. Throughout his representation of me, Bob was always very responsive to my emails and phone calls and kept me well informed of the steps he was taking on my behalf. Additionally, I appreciated the concern he showed for how important this process was for me personally and professionally. In sum, Bob Bennett was an outstanding advocate on my behalf, and I recommend him and his firm without reservation. The Board of Law Examiners granted my waiver request, and Bob was a critical part of that success.
