May 2017. Doug is a brilliant attorney with a wealth of knowledge. His expertise paid off in the court room. Doug was a blessing to my family. My spouse encountered his 3rd DWI which had huge domino affect on our household in ways I never could have imagine. My spouse and I, were very prayerful... in completing our search for the right attorney due to so much as at state. Doug was very honest, straight forth, compassionate and non judgmental. The criminal justice system and process were overwhelming, even for someone like me who has a legal background (completely new territory for me). Shortly after my DWI arrest, I knew I needed an attorney, and I wanted an experienced one at that. I met with Doug Murphy and his legal team. They listened to me carefully as I explained the events that led to DWI arrest. This was not easy for me because I consider myself a principle-centered person and did not want to believe that I was in a DWI situation (the truth is that virtually anyone could be cited with a DWI). Mr. Murphy, understanding the facts of my case, said he could handle my case and would fight to provide me with the best defense possible (even if that meant going to trial). Over the course of the DWI process (which for me was long and at times emotionally draining), Doug would reassure me that everything would work-out fine and that I shouldn't let this DWI situation control my life... which was a very difficult thing for me to do. What helped me a great deal was Doug's willingness to meet on numerous occasions at his office to discuss my case. These meetings were extremely insightful and I could see how thoroughly Doug and his team were analyzing my case. Driving home from the Houston Rodeo BBQ Cookoff, I was pulled over by police in Brazoria county for running a yellow (soon to be red) light. I failed a field sobriety test and was charged with DWI. I knew of Doug Murphy's work and called him immediately after booking. My automobile was a compa...ny fleet car. Company policy was termination of employment for any DWI offense. Through great effort, Doug was able to get the DWI dismissed and the charge was reduced to speeding and running a red light. If not for Doug's fantastic "lawyering", I would have certainly lost my job. A year after the incident, Doug was also able to have the lesser charges removed from my driving record. I highly recommend Doug Murphy.

As an attorney, I knew the best evidence against me was none. Even though I had just been out to dinner with friends- if you're not 110% I knew not to "blow". When pulled over by West U police for rolling a stop sign, I encountered two officers. The older was not pleased with my decision not to perfo...rm field sobriety test or breathalyzer. Needless to say I was arrested, which was the most terrifying and humiliating experience of my life.
