If you have been arrested for a DWI then you know the feeling. As I sat in court waiting for Mr. Johnson to arrive my mind was spinning. I can't believe I'm here. Will there be a fine? Will I have to get an interlock device in my car? How many hours of community service will I get? Will I have to at...tend AA classes? How is this going to affect my insurance? I don't want this on my driving record. As I looked around the courtroom my anxiety continued to grow. Then I saw Dane Johnson walk in. I recognized him as we had met before. We said hello to each other and he went and picked up my file laying on the Prosecutor's desk. We were there on the first day of court to simply determine that there was probable cause for the arrest and set a future court date. As I watched Dane he sat quietly reading my file. He then approached the bench with the Prosecutor and began speaking with the Judge. Shortly after that he asked me to step into one of the conference rooms just outside the courtroom. He then informed me that the case was being dismissed for lack of probable cause for the traffic stop. Relief swept over me. Now this might sound like a simple end to a simple case but that's not true. Another attorney might have simply signed off on the probable cause and moved on. Perhaps the attorney might have had to hurry back to another courtroom or may simply have wanted to run out and get lunch. Dane Johnson takes a personal interest in his clients and he definitely has an eye for detail. That's what you need in an attorney. I can only hope that my friends have learned from my experience and will never drive while intoxicated; however, if they find themselves in a similiar situation I will definitely be referring Dane Johnson.

I was charged with a DWI and arrested after leaving a race track in Baytown. I had stopped to call home to say i was on my way. The officer pulled in behind me and told me that he could not read the name on my license plate because of the bracket, even though the rocket ship and horseman was visible ...as in all previous Texas tags. I was not given a breathilizer test just a field sobriety test and blood test that i did not refuse. The trial just kept being postponed for 28 months until my attorney ask why this was taking so long and the federal law and state law states a fair and speedy trial is due me, then when the voir dior was presented the county and state dismissed the charges. After my attorney ask if the jury members could render a not guilty verdict if the officer did not have a legal reason to stop me. NO TRIAL!

Was arrested for DWI, I knew the state had no case. The video showed the same, case was dismissed. Dane and his entire team handled it perfectly. I was proactively given advice, leaving me prepared and a step ahead of the game. My biggest compliment is how seamless it all was. I have a life t...o live and job to do. I recently was charged with a DUI (2nd offense). Not having a DUI in a long time, the system had changed a great deal, and I felt completely overwhelmed.
