Dwi dismissed
the knowledge alone of all the Dwi laws kept me impressed and feeling comfortable. even when they told me my options and said they wanted to fight and not settle. they made sure I knew all options and never pressured or rushed any decisions from me. I hope no one has to go through what I did, but if ...

Did NOTHING for my money.
I hired Dane Johnson of Johnson and Johnson Law Firm in April of '07. From the start, I was assured that he would investigate all aspects of my case. After he got a bulk of my money, I repeatedly asked him to investigate aspects of my case that he said he would. He said he would. He never investigate...
Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, this is all too typical of what is sometimes referred to as "buyers remorse." Sometimes in this profession we see clients that accept a deal that is exactly what they want at the time, but later they seem to regret the choice that they made. Often times in these situations - as is the case here, the lawyer becomes the target of the blame. The client in this case chose to plead guilty to a recduced charge of a misdemeanor DWI instead of going to trial on felony intoxication assault charges. He received 15 months probation on the refiled misdemeanor DWI charge and the intoxication assault charge was dismissed. Let's make no mistake about it, the client was the one that made the decision to plead to the reduced charge. Of course we investigated the facts of the case, researched the law in the case and consulted with client extensively prior to him making the desicion to plead guilty to the reduced misdemeanor charge. At the time of the plea, client was ecstatic the result and with his decision to plead guilty and receive probation to recuce the risk of a jury trial that could have sent him to prison for up to 10 years. The claim that the state did not have strong evidence is simply not true. After client rear-ended a big rig tractor, client and his friend were both life-flighted to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The hospital (not the police officers) took client's blood for medical purposes that showed his blood alcohol concentration was over twice the legal limit. Taking into consideration all of the facts of the case, I understood client's decision to enter his plea in a misdemeanor court.
