Effective, understanding, results-driven

I hired Anne Kennedy earlier this year to help me with a dispute with my former spouse. She gave me all of the care and attention I needed while aggressively representing me. Anne is responsive, attentive and very knowledgeable. We ended up winning, and I am very happy with the outcome of my case.... I strongly recommend her to anyone who needs an effective, no-nonsense, strong and smart lawyer.

Best of the best!

Anne Kennedy is honest, helpful, and a winner. She fights for her client's rights and never gives up. I was detained at the CCA facility in North Houston. I see a lot of people with immigration lawyers but all they want is money and lie to the clients that their case is winnable. She is not like tha...t. Anne Kennedy will be up front about your case. She is the best when it comes to representing her clients!

Immigration Attorney

Attorney Kennedy is a great well known attorney by all the judges. She was highly recommended. She was very helpful with my husbands case. He was on the verge of being removed from the US. Luckily I found Anne. She was able to stop his deportation. She was able to work with his criminal record. She w...as able to understand my situation and prove hardship for myself and my children. Her legal services are very well worth any legal fees. I was tired of getting the run arounds from other attorney or not being able to have a conversation with the attorney. Anne definitely knows how to work with her client and Judges. She argued my husbands case with intelligence and bravery. There's no doubt that she knows the law and knows how to fight for your rights. I really appreciate her and her staff. She has wonderful staff. Her assistant, Jasmin, was able to help me gather all documents needed for court. She was also able to help my family members provide support for my husbands case. Jasmin provided her notary services on hand, in office, which made it very easy for me. It really helped as I work full time and full time with my kids. I really appreciate everything they have done and keeping my husband in the US.

MIA Immigration Attornay

We used Anne Kennedy for an immigration case. Almost instantly we felt as if we were dealing with her assistant(s) instead of her. Communication was a problem from the beginning. And as soon as our case was no longer "cookie-cutter" Anne became even less consistent. We could not get her on the pho...ne, we could not get her to respond to emails, we were literally left to fend for ourselves. We had to thoroughly read all correspondence from the various immigration agencies and understand exactly what and how they wanted information without any counsel. We had to fill out every form and know exactly what supporting documents to include without any counsel. We paid Anne upfront for the entire process but in the end we had to do everything ourselves... except for the first form, but there were like 5 to 6 more forms and a plethora of other hoops and turns we had to go through with NO HELP. Anne got thousands of our hard earned money and then disappeared. But nevertheless, with no thanks to Anne, we did finish our immigration process with our desired results. Think twice or thrice before choosing this one because any hiccup in Anne's apparent assembly line method of handling cases will be met with you being left out to do it on your own. Every case is different and she knows that, but from my experience she is not willing to do what it takes to help out her clients. What really chaffs me, apart from the money we lost to her, is the fact that we had to give up on our attorney in order to get our case to proceed because had we waited on her we could still be languishing in limbo.

I am saddened to see this review. It is posted anonymously and came out of nowhere, with no comment to me before posting. Nevertheless: This case was VERY difficult employment-based visa application. It had been originally prepared by another lawyer and denied by USCIS. The applicant had also overstayed his visa and engaged in unauthorized employment. After the client hired me, the application that I prepared was approved by USCIS on the first try, with no objection or request for additional evidence from Immigration. That is almost unheard of in today’s world! I spent MANY hours personally preparing and reviewing this file. I spoke with the client on my personal cell phone during business hours and after business hours and weekends. I have a wonderful staff. They will help with a file. Every client will talk to them at some point in time. It is what helps keep legal costs reasonable.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT HIRE ANN OR HER FIRM TO REPRESENT YOU IN A CONTESTED DIVORCE OF ANY KIND, IF YOU DON'T WANT

This is an honest review that has been long overdue. In 2022, I hired Ann E. Kennedy to represent me in my contested divorce, but she never took my case seriously nor effectively represented me because I am Black and an immigrant. On the day of my mediation scheduled for Ann, my so-called lawyer, and... me to meet with my Ex, his lawyer, and the Mediator, Ann never showed up at the meeting until many hours later. She only sent a young kid who is NOT even a paralegal, let alone a litigator. The clueless boy had no idea what to say or do. The Mediator asked him many questions, but he couldn't answer any and doesn't even know anything, for real. Much later, Ann showed up and talked too much, exchanging pleasantries with the mediator as old-time friends catching up and all that, stating that she had another mediation scheduled for the exact same date and time, and right after that, she disappeared again and never showed up until mediation was over. I was utterly disappointed and crying afterwards. I had no representation, yet I was paying a lawyer for legal representation. Ann, why schedule another mediation for the exact same time and date, when you were the one who did the scheduling that works for all parties?What broke the camel's back for me and still hurts my life to this day is that everything that was agreed upon during the mediation was not captured by the mediation documents nor the final divorce decree document. Meanwhile, the mediation meeting was recorded! In spite of the hurtful fact that during the mediation, I had no lawyer to help me and negotiate anything on my behalf, and I ended up just accepting whatever my Ex and his lawyer wanted, my own dumb lawyer literally omitted 2 of my Ex's debts (see them attached), which he himself stated that he would be paying and should be awarded to him. When I called Ann's attention to her errors, she told me that it was too late and they couldn't be corrected, and that if I wanted them corrected, I should pay her again to file another divorce lawsuit. WHAT? WHAT THE F**K?!!! How's that my fault? Why should I pay for your own errors and omissions?I reached out to the companies and explained and wrote letters to the credit reporting agencies—Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax—but they all refused to remove those negative accounts from my consumer credit profile. Worse off, both companies still report both accounts as active and showing that I missed 22-30 payments till today. Even when I tell them that the 2 bills were awarded to my Ex and they say, Show me your final divorce decree, and I send it over, they all think I'm telling lies, and no one believes me because my unintelligent lawyer, Ann E. Kennedy, failed to represent my interests by including at least all the items my Ex & his lawyer insisted were the only things they'd assume responsibility for.The very worst part is that twice I have tried to purchase a house or condo since after my divorce, both accounts hunt me down, and they deny my mortgage loan, even rental property, simply because of ANN's heinous mistake. As a result of the above ugly experiences, when Ann sent me a final bill citing that I will pay the clueless DUMBF**k child she sent who wouldn't talk to the mediator nor provide answers, I refused to pay her whatever she wanted to extort more from me because she literally ruined my life and still wanted me to pay her for it. I have been waiting for her to sue me so I can expose her to the state bar association & all, but she hasn't sued me yet.I was and still soo heartbroken by this till today, especially each time I open my credit report and see the ruins. ANN E. KENNEDY'S DUMB**S HAS CAUSED ME! I think I may have to sue Ann or at least report her to her state bar because my creditworthiness & my life have been ruined by her sloppiness, discrimination, & lackadaisical attitude towards my case & her representation of me & my interests during that matter. If I were a white woman, would Ms. Ann have done this to me?
