Tyrone Moncriffe is someone you can depend on. I was charged with a felony several months ago. I knew that it was imperative that I located an attorney who could represent me fairly while honestly caring about the upcoming decisions that would affect my life for the next several years. I knew I wa...s innocent, but the problem would come in convincing the State of Texas that I wasn’t guilty. I must say that I had called several lawyers but didn’t get the response I needed or felt comfortable with. After two days of calling and waiting on someone to return my phone calls, I went to a computer and looked up SuperLawyers in Houston and found Tyrone Moncriffe among the list of names offered. He stuck out amidst all of them. I say it was where God placed my hand. I’ll never forget calling about 4:45 p.m. that Friday evening knowing that I had nothing to lose. False charges had been filed. I had absolutely nothing to do with a murder that was committed. A lazy harris county/hpd police department put False charges on me. Ultimately destroying my whole life. I had a newborn son, new home, new job, and completely lost it all. I was devastated, and so was my f...amily. I research several Lawyers and explained the situation. Ultimately, my feeling was to hire attorney Moncriffe. I explained to Moncriffe I absolutely did not want to go to trail, but I definitely was not going to accept any sort of deal for something I had nothing to do with. Moncriffe explained he wouldn't make any promises but made one guarantee. That was, he would fight for what I wanted. I didn't want to fight a trail, I wanted a complete Dismissal. I felt as though a dismissal, was the only way the HCSO/HPD could tell me, my family, the victims family and public they were wrong/they made a mistake. My name had been tarnished. Fortunately I'm able to put this behind me, It makes me wonder how many innocent men are incarcerated for things they didn't do. I would have liked more communication, now i realize Moncriffe is like Michael Jordan/ Kobe Bryant. Confident, well trained, well prepared, and well groomed to win. He lets his work do the talking.
