Don’t hire. Save your time and sanity.

Rebecca started off well but in the end she failed to be the professional I needed for my case. This lawyer does not return phone calls. If you call repeatedly for answers you are put at the bottom of the call back list. She invites third parties in the room without asking your permission first. Do n...ot interrupt her when she is speaking. She does not know how to talk to the judge. She waves papers around hoping the judge will listen to her. She will not answer your questions directly like a yes or no. It’s always I think or I don’t know. If you do hire her get a number upfront of how much she will charge you. Do not make arrangements over the phone or email, make them in person. for any lawyer, ask how familiar are they with cases like yours. I hope this helps someone in their search for a lawyer. Hire someone who actually cares if you hold your children in your arms one last time.

Because this review is anonymous, I do not know what case this is, which makes it difficult for me to address the concerns described. No client has made these complaints to me or to my managing partners, so I have no context for a direct response. I typically tell clients in our very first consult that I can be in court for days or even weeks on end, and so the fastest way to reach me is via email. I return phone calls when possible, and in the order in which they were received, so if I have been in court for two or more weeks, it takes awhile to get all the messages returned. I strive to answer emails within 2-3 business days, but again, depending on my court schedule, that is not always possible. I do give clients my most honest opinion, which means that if the answer is not a simple 'yes' or 'no,' then I try to provide more detail. Because I can't control what will happen in any given case, I will usually say "I believe this is the best way forward," for example, rather than saying, "Yes, this will absolutely allow us to win," because I can't guarantee that. I do a written contract with clients, unless they are court appointed, and that contract specifies my retainer and my monthly fee. Again, because some cases take less time than expected and some take more, there is no realistic way to provide a firm amount up front, unless I just pick a number out of the air. To the writer of this review: I honestly do not know who you are, but I invite you to email or message me directly so that we can discuss your complaints iin private. Sincerely, Rebecca Griffin
