My case was considered as a high profile case which was a “big talk” at many countries on television, newspapers and internet. Our honorable Prime Minister of India Mr Modi was questioned because India is not a member of the Haque convention on the civil aspects because a child is not considered abdu...cted by a parent during that time. I was charged with the abduction of my toddler son in 2014 at Collin County court. I was incarcerated and I served time for almost 8 months on interference of child custody. My ex-husband tried all possible ways to get me deported back to India. I was under removal proceedings and my green card, including my Indian passport were taken by the immigration authorities. I was a victim to domestic violence and fled United States for the fear of my life and my child’s. My ex husband’s lawyer played all his best cards and in-fact I have not seen my son since 2015. But Mr. David Swaim is my Savior in disguise with my immigration case. He believed in me and he fought to bring justice for me. I hired Mr. Swaim in 2014 and I received my green card in 2017 and in 2021, I became a US Citizen. I have the confidence that I can reunite with my son and it would have been impossible if I was deported to India.
