I paid them $3,000 and they took my money!

I hired this law firm years ago, paid them the total amount for my fees of $3,000. I couldn't file until my husband would file his taxes which he didn't for years and held me back. I still however made sure I made my monthly payments to pay everything and when I was ready my money would be safe with ...them. I decided to come back 8 months ago to my surprise Roy Pettys wife said my funds were already depleted for the services they provided. They literally filled in my I-360 and the I-797, and another form which was not submitted because WE WERE WAITING and my caseworker knew that!! Roy Petty's wife Also told me that they worked very hard getting all my records. 99.9% of all records were provided by me! Copies were given to them so we can start to accrue all the records needed. So to fill in a couple of forms that were on standby cost me $3,000. Sounds like robbery to me! I hate to leave such negative review, but there's a lot of people that have to work very hard for their money and to just be taken so easily and justifying it by filling a couple of forms doesn't seem ethical.

Elizabeth, you should call me at my office. You and I never have spoken about this matter and you may have the wrong law firm. There is another immigration attorney who has the same name as I do. There is no relation between us. I queried our database and no Elizabeth has contracted with me to prepare an I-360 in the past 20 years. We charge much less than $3,000 for an I-360. Form I-797 is a form issued by the US government and is not a form that any lawyer completes. Your husband's income taxes are not needed for an I-360 and we do not file I-360's for spouses who live with their husbands. And, my wife was not at my office 8 months ago. I spoke with her and she never has spoken with any of our I-360 clients about any payment issues.

Thank you for supporting me and paying for me

Thank you for freeing me from my manipulative and controlling husband.I dont have any money and was afraid he was going to kill me when he was on a drunk. I heard Mr. Petty helps people even if they dont have money. Mr. Petty and his wife freed me from my husband and paid for my ticket to California... and for my motel. I've been free of my tormentor for 2 months. Mrs. Petty went with me to the police and convinced the policeman to sign the papers letting me to get a U visa. It takes a year and I hope I will get the visa. Even if I don't I am grateful I have daca and for Mr. Petty and his wife. I have no money to pay them and I pray that God will bless them.
