All of the positive reviews on this site are not exaggerations. Joe was exceptional in every way--he's what you think of when you imagine the ideal defense attorney (caring, responsive, highly involved, and adept at handling the area's criminal justice system). When I was arrested, I asked the bail... bondsman to recommend some attorneys. He said Joe was the "best in the area," and my experience proved that. I ended up receiving a lighter probation sentence than my friend who was arrested for the same crime and used a different attorney. Last month when I applied for non-disclosure of my criminal record (basically, expungement), Joe told me that due to a particular technicality, the law did not support my case. However, he skillfully argued on my behalf and was able to obtain a favorable ruling from the judge, despite the technicalities of the case. From what I observed, Joe has an excellent rapport with the various local officials here (attorneys, judges, etc.) and is able to navigate through the justice system with great skill and insight. I don't know if he charges more than other attorneys in the area, but if he does, I can attest to the fact that he's worth it.

My husband was arrested for a felony charge that was beyond what he should have been under the circumstances of the situation. I was arrested in the small town of Maypearl for having my girlfriend (who is not 21) in the car with my unopened beer in the back seat. It was not for her but the cops had enough "evidence" to take me to jail. She had absolutely nothing to drink, nor was the beer purchased for her.
