An Excellent Defense Attorney!

I was facing a charge that I was not guilty of. I needed the best defense attorney I could find. Never thought in my life that I would ever be facing a criminal charge. He didn't make empty promises. And he remembered every detail of all my statements. During the trial, he was someone I felt c...onfident in to plea my case. I was found NOT GUILTY! I realize that there are different types of individuals who give this lawyer good reviews and bad reviews. But as for me and my experience, I believe in my heart that he is true to the call of a Great Advocate!

Just, don't.

Greg spoke a big game and I took the bait. I paid him a heavy price for a retainer on a misdemeanor DWI charge and thought he could possibly get in with the court system and work some magic with the courts to get it either dismissed or at the very least reduced since my BAC was half of the legal limi...t and I didn't even have the car moving. He did not show up for most of my court appearances including the ARL. 6 months suspended DL and occupational DL. Embarrassing. Fast forward a few months and he called two days prior to the plea agreement court date with news that my case is great for a dismissal but that it would be $10,000 past this point, non-refundable even if the case was dismissed prior to trial. The prosecutor offered 18 months of probation, fines, community service, the works. I don't even have a speeding ticket on my record. Greg did not go to bat for me to negotiate a better plea bargain that fit my situation. I asked Greg how many DWI cases he has had taken on and to my surprise he said a hand full and lost one. What kind of criminal defense lawyer only has a hand full of experience with DWI proceedings and lost one? Not a solid batting average. I wish I asked that question prior to throwing him the initial, non-refundable, overpriced retainer. With the absolute lack of communication from him and consistent no-shows, I decided to fold. Not on my case, but with Greg. I immediately called a different attorney (B) and had a meeting arranged within 24 hours of the first call. Attorney B promised to communicate details with me regarding the case and he lived up to his promise. His price to take on the case was half of what Greg offered and he, not Greg, actually specialized in DWIs. Spoiler alert, the case was dismissed, and attorney B refunded half of the cost since there was no trial. So for a quarter of the cost of what Greg offered past the plea, I am free and clear. If I could rate Greg 0/5 stars, I would. Hire at your own risk, or just, don't.

Horrible

Do not Hire!!! Another person wrote that it's as if he's on the prosecutors staff. Bam! He hit the nail on the coffin. I guess once a cop, always a cop, that mentality never goes away. After paying him thousands and thousands, he railroaded me, after talking a big game in his office, he got me the ma...ximum sentence allowed!! He didn't even try ,and come to find out that he could've had it reduced to a misdemeanor, he just chose not to. On top of this he didn't even get me deferred adjudication until demanded it. He then tried to scare me into not doing deferred. Overall just a terrible terrible defense attorney , definitely does not have his clients best interest at hand. Thankfully 4 years later, after many headaches and lots of money, a wonderful REAL DEFENSE attorney in McKinney actually did his job and saved the day !! thanks Kyle Shaw!! He's the real deal

Wasnt even as good as a public defender - at least they would show up

I hired him twice. The free consultation I was convinced that he was the best choice. But the minute he was paid ($2500) I never saw him again until the final pea agreement morning before I was to see the judge.. The pre-trial and other court scheduling were handled by a attorney who looked to be in... high school and was obviously not the smooth attorney that I paid for. He was successful at getting me the exact same deal that the Court Admin had offered me on the first hearing when I was not represented by anyone. I was even asked to sign a waiver to due diligence and a waiver to the right to appeal. Gregg was not even present at the plea agreement hearing during the signing of the plea. I was met by him prior to court. However when it was time to talk to the judge, he was gone and the bailiff searched for him outside. He was a no show, however there was an attorney from his office that happened to walk by and said that he would stand in for Gregg. Totally ignorant of the plea deal or case at all, I was advised that Gregg and his "Aide" that looked like a teenage Opie Taylor, had gotten me the best deal possible. So I signed............ Worst attorney I have ever experienced........ Definitely seemed to be working for his best interests not mine. He did NONE of the things he told me he would during the consultation....... I should have asked the DA's office to represent m instead!!!!

Past experience with a juvenile

we used him twice, very good the first time but the DA was not prepared. The 2nd time it was a joke, it was like he was on the DA's staff.
