Saved my life!

Doug was able to help me get multiple 2nd chances at life after I had 3 DWIs in 10 years! I was stubborn in learning my lesson but after my most recent incident, Doug was able to get me a reasonable sentence considering my checkered past. I'm happy to say I've definitely learned my lesson but i woul...dn't have gotten that chance if it hadn't been for Doug and his awesome professional team! Thanks again!

I am a lawyer who hired Mr. Wilder and I would do it again

I am a corporate lawyer who was arrested and charged with DWI in Dallas County. A forced blood draw indicated my blood alcohol level was .13%. I wanted the best representation available and was prepared to vigorously defend myself. I interviewed several DWI attorneys and chose Doug Wilder because a ...friend of mine, who happens to be a former DWI prosecutor who had tried cases adverse to Mr. Wilder, recommended Mr. Wilder to me. My friend, the former prosecutor, admired Mr. Wilder's tenacious approach to case preparation and his formidable skills in the courtroom. I hired Mr. Wilder. Based on my personal experience, Mr. Wilder is an excellent DWI attorney whose strong reputation as a trial lawyer and willingness to try cases is respected by the prosecution, and is strategic advice is spot on. My case resulted in no DWI conviction. I am very happy I hired Mr. Wilder and I would strongly recommend him to anyone charged with a crime in Dallas, especially the crime of DWI.

Outstanding!

Doug Wilder is truly an amazing person and an even more outstanding lawyer. When I was first pulled over for a DWI I thought that the rest of my life would be ruined.  I was pulled over for driving 64 in a 40 and ended up blowing a .115. I have heard the horror stories about what having a DWI on the ...record could be to a person’s career and the additional consequences that would come from it. I needed someone to hear my side of the story, someone to fight for me, and then I found Doug. He reviewed my case and was certain that we had a chance of a not guilty verdict by taking it to trial. He made sure to keep me updated through out the process and was prompt about answering any of my calls and emails. We had several meetings regarding what was going to happen.  Doug wanted to make sure that I fully understood the process.  He also spent a lot of time with my witness who was with me in the car. So, by the time trial can around I know exactly what was going to be said and felt confident that the case could go my way. Trials are tough.  Information can come to light during trial, some of which might seems damaging, but Doug has a great policy of always fighting with the truth; and that is what we did. Doug assured my that with the expert that he has worked with in the past and the prosecuting attorneys that he has fought against that the truth was the best way to win. I am so happy to say that we did. It was concluded that the field sobriety tests and .115 breath test that was administered to me that night was not enough evidence to convict me of a DWI. With a new job right around the corner, I knew that a conviction would have been devastating and would have cost me the job, but thanks to Doug and his team we succeeded. Everyone worked very hard to ensure I was well taken care of and for anyone else that might have a situation similar to mine I would highly recommend Doug Wilder and The Wilder Firm.

Case Dismissed! Whew!

I was stopped at a red light with two blown out tires when a cop behind me turned on his lights. After stumbling through a field sobriety test, I was arrested. At the station I blew a .101, got charged with a Texas DWI, and spent the night in jail. A DWI on anyone’s record is an expensive ordea...l that lingers forever. In my case it would hit me especially hard because I’d worked my way up in corporate America, in regulatory compliance, and my very bright career future could be snuffed--or at least significantly dimmed with a DWI on my record. Worse than that, my family lives in Canada, where a DWI would make me criminally inadmissible. My career and family life were on the line, and it was critical I did everything possible to protect myself, no matter how hopeless it seemed when I left jail. I needed the very best representation. After researching online, I decided to go with the Wilder Firm. Doug’s experience, specialization, and excellent reviews sold me on him. He and his staff were always friendly, responsive, and communicated the complexities, nuances, and strategy options for combatting this charge. They handled the administrative work, and set up a login to their website so I could always access case documents, calendar, receipts. Having someone to answer my questions and address my concerns was comforting. I felt they understood my case. The process did take a long time--court dates were set, then extended. Sometimes by Doug, other times at my request. I travel a lot for work and personally, and Doug’s team helped guide me through travel requirements, re-schedule court dates, and navigate other restrictions. When it came time to decide to fight it, I wasn’t pressured. The case against me seemed ironclad, but the stakes were high and I had to take a chance. At my second last court date, I was prepared to plea...but at the last minute, I knew I’d regret not taking the chance. Doug got the date pushed back 3 months and asked how I wanted to proceed. I told him I wanted to fight this...and so began the motions. Almost two years to the day of my arrest, I met Doug in the courtroom after he’d disappeared to talk to the judge. Ready for trial, I said nervously, “We gonna do this today?” He said, “ I’ve done my part....they’re going to dismiss your case.” Words can not describe my gratitude. I highly recommend the Wilder firm. I was very happy with them throughout the process (and especially the outcome!). And if you do hire them and they get you that second chance--stay sober behind the wheel always!

Excellent

Doug's great. I was worried cosidering this was my first dwi charge and I had an open container. All they had was the sobriety test which I did pretty good on. Doug connected with the jury and really fought for me. 15 minutes later the jury came back with not guilty! I will definitely call doug ag...ain!
