Denise Kirby is the BEST lawyer I've ever had period. I got a DWI last year in Platte County. I searched the internet and found her. I researched her and read all of her reviews. From start to finish, this process took 14 months. While there were some really difficult aspects of the process, Denise did everything she could to make the process easier. After 3 court appearances and a restricted driving privilege for 11 months (this was due to appealing the first decision which ...increased the suspension by 7 months because there is no stay on a license during appeals) we finally had closure. I had an excessive BAC of .143, however after countless hours dedicated to watching video and knowing the law thoroughly, she was able to determine that I passed the field tests and that the officer made several mistakes in the process. She proved that there was not probable cause for the stop or sufficient evidence to convict. My ticket was amended to a different traffic violation with 2 points assessed and we won my license hearing on appeal. I know it is difficult to win license hearings, so I was pleased with these results. She also informed me that the municipality I was pulled over in is notoriously unrelenting with DUI cases. The money I spent and the time it took were absolutely worth it for these results. Denise was always ready to empathize and commiserate when something did not go as planned. All of the negative experiences during this process were out of her control and I could tell she really cared. Denise is a great lawyer, hard working and easy to contact and communicate with. We fought my DWI charge with the county. She was able to work with prosecutor and get my charges dismissed avoiding a trial all together! Then she advised me that I had a good case against the State in my failure to blow... case.
