Highly Recommend Greg

A few months ago, my life was about to change for the worse. I had been falsely accused of some serious things. I searched for a good attorney and found The Watt Law Firm here in KC. When I called, Greg answered the phone! I explained the accusations to him and he listened. We set up a meeting at hi...s office and went over what charges I was facing. He never once made me feel like he wasn't interested or that I was just another case. Greg reassured me that he would approach this case carefully and do what was best for me and my family. I am happy to say, he did just that! The case was dismissed due to lack of evidence and proof. I would recommend The Watt Law Firm for anyone in need! He is compassionate and understanding to each individual case. You will be in good hands with Greg!

Excellent representation

Greg was fantastic at representing me and making me feel comfortable with the legal process. He explained my options and answered all my questions and was able to use his connections as a former prosecutor to get me a greatly reduced charge which I was very grateful for. I would Highly recommend Greg... to anyone looking for excellent legal representation!

Misdemeanor

Greg Watt is the best attorney I have ever dealt with. He is honest, polite ,responsive, and knows how to deal with the courts. He is aggressive and will take any case to trial. He negotiated my case superbly. I would recommend him to anyone that has a charge.

Outstanding

I have never been in trouble with the law in my life. I went out with friends to celebrate one night and things got out of hand. I had a lapse in judgement and got into a physical altercation with the bouncer. I had a few serious charges against me. I have a a lot going on for me with graduate sc...hool, a great future and a great family. Greg fought really hard for me and always kept me up to date every step of the way. He was extremely knowledgeable and highly professional. He was able to give me a second chance and now I can continue on with my life without fear of my future being over. Thank you Greg! I'll highly recommend you to everyone needing legal help.

Huge win!

Ok so Greg did an outstanding job on my case! We just finished up this morning after 5 or so months. --Lets start at the beginning I didn't even know I had a warrant out for my arrest until I got what looked like junk mail in mail box one day. I through it to the side not thinking anything of it. T...he letter was from a local bail bonding company stating I should call them to avoid spending any time in custody. After I finished reading the other mail I started looking at the letter from the bond company and decided I would google the information and see if it returned anything. To my surprise I did in fact have a warrant issued for a rather ignorant charge of riverboat gambling infraction. And was being charged as a Class D felony. In my line of work that is just extremely scary and I could lose my job and clearances in a split second. I called the bond company and asked them what their thoughts were on it and had some validity issues I wanted to get cleared. They recommended I call a lawyer, like yesterday. After doing some searching online, reading reviews, and trying to find a criminal defense lawyer I came across Gregs website. Very inviting, and a ton of information on his page. It was a Saturday evening approximately 8pm'ish and I called the number on the website thinking I was going to leave a message wait a few days and I "may" hear back from someone. Not at all, Greg picked up the phone as the number on the site rings directly to his cell. Caught me off guard and after we spoke for a little while I decided to retain his services. We met the following Monday I brought some personal info with me (job, education proof, pay stubs, etc...) and we got to work trying to schedule a time to turn my self in, post the $5k bond, and get the process started in hopes of a dismissal. BEFORE I GO ANY FURTHER I WANT TO MAKE SOMETHING KNOWN-- The entire process Greg doesn't beat around the bush he will shoot ya pretty straight -- sometimes extremely blunt, but in these situations you can't leave any room for guessing -- that I really appreciated don't tell me thinks like "umm well I don't know" or "lets see how this plays out" he was really good about referencing all the info the prosecutor had relayed to him and back and forth. OK - so back to the rest. We did this little dance back and forth the last couple of months working up plea offers and proving that my background was clear, and that this was a stupid charge and over a dumb night of drinking way to much and gambling (no room for error there right?) -- yeah breeding ground for destruction. Needless to say at the end Greg totally came through for me. We tried for a dismissal, however we didn't get quite there. We did get the D felony reduced to a B level misdemeanor, suspended sentencing (meaning that at the end of probation the charge falls off and there is NO CONVICTION. I got some community service hours and some probation time. All of which is much better than having some power tripped up deputy sheriff or jailor delivering me meals to a cell. Greg is a very stand up dude, may come with a pretty price tag, but for me the cost of his services vs the cost of what I stood to lose was no question. Not to mention he did a great job working with me on a payment plan. All around good guy and I would definitely recommend his services to anyone in need. Thanks Greg - A win in my book!
