Went above and beyond.

I was in a pretty bad spot. I had, in hindsight, said some things I shouldn't have said had I known the trouble it would bring. Nevertheless, I called someone out for shady activity online and I ended up entangled in a lawsuit over it. I went to a list of lawyers who were willing to help people in... a situation not unlike mine and found Mudd Law. After speaking with Charles he agreed to take my case at a really reasonable price and let me work out a fair payment plan. This case could have financially ruined me for the foreseeable future and I needed help badly. Mr. Mudd was very helpful and personable right from the first phone call and I was very comfortable explaining the situation and following the sensible advice he offered. I quickly lost the notion I was dealing with a "lawyer" but was instead dealing with a real person who had a personal and professional interest in helping me solve my problem without trying to fleece me in the process. In the end we were all able to come up with an amicable solution to the problem and it didn't break me financially. I also learned some lessons from my own actions and the guidance I received on how to not end up in a situation like this again, or, if I do, how to handle it better and more importantly, who to turn to if I need real legal console. Thanks again for all your help. You helped walk me through a nightmare and come out stronger on the other side. I'll never forget your kindness and professionalism.

The Best of the Best

Finding myself in a legal debacle after posting a negative online review of a dental visit, I researched online litigation and stumbled upon the Electronic Frontier Foundation, who referred me to Mr. Mudd. Charles is a consummate professional and an exceptional human being of the utmost integrity. Fr...om my first conversation with him to the successful ending of a very stressful situation that could have financially ruined me for life, Charles instilled within me unwavering confidence. His unmatched knowledge and expertise with online defamation is not only impressive, but comforting. He is responsive, accessible, always informative, and a pleasure in every interaction. Furthermore, his staff at his Chicago firm are also very skilled and pleasant. While the petitioner sought to reveal my identity in furtherance of suing me for a bankrupting sum, Charles filed a motion to quash the discovery request and the court granted the motion. The three years that have since passed remind me, even with this positive review, that there is nothing I can ever say or do to adequately express my heartfelt appreciation for his saintly generosity and saving me from ruin. I remain indebted to Mr. Charles Lee Mudd Jr. for life and I will always remember him as a hero. If you find yourself in need of legal representation, hire Mr. Mudd and take comfort in knowing you are being represented by the best of the best.

Helpful, responsive, knowledgeable IP services

a highly talented and ethical lawyer

Myself and four others were being sued over comments made on an internet list. The plaintiff had access to significant legal resources and even though the basis of his complaint was not substantive he was able to drag the whole process out over five years all the way up to the appeals court. Charles ...won every single motion and was brilliant and highly professional. He has strong knowledge of jurisdictional issues and many other points of law and I can highly recommend him.
