Great Lawyer!

Jeffrey Antonelli is an amazing lawyer. It was thanks to Mr. Antonelli that my lawsuit was settled quickly and affordably for myself. Even before settling, I was completely stressed about my situation, he was professional and reassuring. He explained to me the law along with the basics of how a negot...iation happens. He set a flat rate for his services and even offered to split the fee into two payments to help prevent any financial difficulty. I cannot recommend him enough.

best lawyer

i was sued by strike 3 holding, jeffrey settled my case in less than a month. i live in New York, i can find many lawyers who can defend for copyright infringement. i had called several local lawyers. one lawyer was going to charge me $550 for consultation. Another lawyer was going to charge me $5000... for the first retainer. notice, there would be second or third retainers i had to pay. Most New York lawyers offer hour rate service, but jeffrey offers flat rate (one time payment). In my opinion, only millionaires can afford hour rate. jeffrey's attorney fee is reasonable. he helped me to get the best settlement result. i Googled strike 3 holding, i could find some law firms, they say they know how to defend. they also posted some articles that explain strike 3 holding like jeffrey did. i had called them , they scared me more. they know how to defend, but they don't know the strategies to dominate in the case. jeffrey is confident on this lawsuit. i recommend him, his paralegal Katrina is good and professional too. there is so much misleading information on the internet, call jeffrey for a free consultation, he can definitely reduce your anxiety. you can hire him though you live in a different state.

Our deep, national experience allows us to cost-effectively deal with these copyright infringement lawsuits for legal fees that many fine firms just cannot compete with. While we could adjust our pricing for certain areas like the New York market we prefer instead to have extremely satisfied clients like yourself who feel they got a square deal. Finally, no lawyer should scare you. However each and every prospective client should be made aware of the legal and financial risks, the probability of those risks when known (like statutory damages in a copyright lawsuit) and ideas on mitigating those risks in a cost-effective fashion.

Good legal advice bad Communication

Being hit with a lawsuit is scary and I had no idea what was in store for me until searching the internet and seeing that I somehow illegally downloaded adult movies . I found Antonelli Law through a google search and after consulting with him I hired his firm. At first I was reassured that the c...ase will be handled promptly with as little as 2 to 3 months and he will handle my case like it was top priority. Mr. Antonelli failed in the communication department, I spoke to him twice throughout my whole case without him reaching out to me, I spoke more to his paralegal Katrina who responded to all my emails very quickly and had even scheduled calls for me to speak with my attorney and Jeff never responded to my calls, he was either on another call or away from his desk. I understood that things happened in the firm and that they were behind but when you pay for a service you expect results, the second email I received from Jeff was that I needed to pay more money to file a motion. The movie company wanted $37,000 from me to settle, I sent in everything to Jeff and his paralegal and the maximum amount I can afford and a month later Mr. Antonelli is asking me for more money. After talking to the paralegal my documents were never sent to the movie company and was about to amend their complaint naming me in this lawsuit. Katrina sent my documents and a counteroffer and in two days I received an email from Ms. Katrina with a settlement agreement attached settling my case for less than my maximum offer. The paralegal did more than the attorney in my case, that is why I give 3 stars and my only suggestion to her is be less tense, I could hear it in your voice but I can understand your frustration.

Dear Anonymous, I wish I knew which client you are so I could address you personally. Providing excellent communications with our clients is one of our most important goals and I am glad you found communicating with my paralegal easy. However, I am sorry to learn you found communicating with me by telephone difficult. Did you try to emailing me for a time to talk? I do try to personally call back each client promptly and consistently. I do ask my paralegal to help me convey messages with our clients to keep the cases progressing as it should when I am either busy, at court, or on the telephone. I even email with clients at night and on weekends whenever possible. I am sorry you felt communicating with me by telephone was difficult and we are working internally to be sure that every client feels cared for personally. As for legal fees, we resolve nearly every case that we settle on a flat fee basis with absolutely no additional fees whatsoever. Since I do not know who you are, I cannot address your particular situation with certainty in the details. Sometimes clients hire us after they were already served with a Summons. When that happens, our flat fee includes all settlement negotiations out of court but we are also upfront about the additional in-court costs of needing to file any Motions to Extend Time or filing an Answer or Motion to Dismiss by the court-imposed deadline to protect you. Basically, if you have already been served with a Summons before you hired us, you have 21 days from the day you were served to file responsive paperwork with the court to avoid a default judgment. Try as we might, not all cases can be settled on satisfactory terms within that time period, especially when we are hired just before that responsive paperwork is due. So, in order to protect clients who have already been served with a Summons from a default judgment, we often file a Motion to Extend Time to increase the time we can continue to negotiate a settlement, before having to file a more expensive Answer with Counterclaims and Affirmative Defenses or even a Motion to Dismiss. I am sorry if the cost for filing necessary motions in court were not made clear to you when you hired us. Finally, and again I do not know who you are so I do not know your particular circumstance, but sometimes during settlement negotiations it becomes necessary to file a Motion to Proceed Anonymously (aka a Motion for Protective Order) when the movie company is threatening to imminently file an Amended Complaint against you. Filing a Motion to Proceed Anonymously in court is an additional legal cost, which is not necessary for most of our settlement negotiations. Sometimes the movie companies take an agonizingly long time to respond to our settlement discussion communications, especially with Malibu Media LLC. This can create a situation where the movie company has taken up so much time that they face the court dismissing their lawsuit entirely if they do not file an Amended Complaint. So, they will then inform us they will be filing an Amended Complaint (with your name as the public defendant) within a few days if we do not settle, and if the current settlement negotiations have not yet resulted in a fair settlement price, then in order to not simply capitulate or give in to their demands, when a client wants to remain anonymous to the public in the court record, then it is imperative to file a Motion to Proceed Anonymously in court. I have been practicing for nearly 20 years, providing excellent legal defense in court and out of court settlement negotiations for over 2,000 clients nationwide. This is the first time we have received this input; I promise you we have already begun to address the need in our firm to doubly make sure each and every client knows with confidence they can speak with me personally, by telephone or in the office. I am glad we did successfully resolve your case and provided you with good legal advice that helped you move on.

Copyright Infringment

Worst nightmare getting a lawsuit in the mail. After some research and calling different lawyers, we couldn't be any happier that we went with Jeffrey Antonelli. At first we wanted to fight our case after finding out that 4+ unauthorized users had been using our Internet since we had moved in early ...last year. However, fighting this case in court would and could have costed us a lot more money than just settling the case. After some thought a choice was made to settle the case for a number that was beyond less than first requested from the Plaintiffs. Extremely thankful for Mr Antonelli and his team for fighting so hard for us. Paying for something you didn't do hurts, angers and really sucks. We're just thankful that we could settle for such an incredibly reasonable number. THANK YOU Jeffrey

Relief and Defense against Fraud

Jeffrey and Katrina went above and beyond to protect me and my family when an illicit company somehow received our IP address and filed a suit for which we had no way of proving wasn't true. We didn't even know how they got our information in the first place. Jeffrey and Katrina were ...both very kind and reassuring which was critical in helping us focus at the issues at hand and were readily and frequently available to help guide us through this time, and we've never even met in person. What would've been an insurmountable fraud claim was still expensive, but manageable for us - a sense of security we can't thank Mr. Antonelli's firm enough for. Would definitely recommend.
