After several disappointing consultations with apathetic immigration lawyers Downtown, a friend recommended we try his lawyer based in Evanston. I want to start this off by emphasizing that I almost never post reviews about my experiences with businesses. The reason for that is because I rarely ever feel that my experience was so incredibly amazing or so shockingly awful that it warranted the time and energy taken to post a review. My experie...nce with Alen and Nicky was a rare exception. From the very first time that my wife and I met with Alen (he came highly recommended to us by the in-house counsel for Northwestern University), we immediately recognized that we were in good hands. My wife and I are both fairly young and so, unfortunately, it sometimes takes some time for people we're interacting with in a business capacity to take us seriously and afford us the same level of respect they would likely offer an older couple. This was never the case with Alen and Nicky. They were both highly professional and unfailingly polite right from the get-go. They took the time to listen to our case and understand our concerns, and thereafter carefully walked us through the rather lengthy, and at times quite complicated, process that is filing for permanent residency as a spouse of U.S.-citizen, and they did so without it ever feeling to us that we were just one case among the many they are handling.
