After meeting with several lawyers (or in a lot of cases, a "representative") who only seemed concerned with payment, we were lucky to be referred to Alen by a friend. At the first meeting, we knew he was different. We had a difficult case, and Alen was encouraging, yet also realistic. He didn't prom...ise us that we would get approved (surprisingly other firms DID promise success). He laid out the challenges of our specific case, and came up with a plan. The main reason I highly recommend him, was his attentiveness to our case. He made us feel like he was always working on it. At no point were we left wondering what the status was. This process was extremely stressful, and I can't even imagine having to repeatedly call my lawyer to ask what is going on. I can't tell you how calming it is just to know that I could call or text Alen with questions about my case, or even just to tell him how nervous I was. This is a review of Takhsh Law, P.C., of Evanston, Illinois The executive summary of my review is: YES- hire this law firm! Alen Takhsh helped my wife become a U.S. citizen. I am from a family of immigrants- my parents and wife are immigrants, as are most of my cousins, uncles, and aunts. My wh...ole life, I’ve dealt with immigration attorneys, U.S. immigration laws, and the numerous filings, documentation requests, and travels to law offices and U.S. Government immigration offices. Takhsh Law is simply the finest, most comprehensive immigration law practice I have ever encountered. During our initial meeting, Mr. Takhsh reviewed my wife’s travel documents, previous application, W-2 forms, address listings, tax returns, educational certificates and board certifications. He compiled a timeline, asked detailed questions to determine if my wife was in fact eligible to apply for citizenship, completed all our application forms, sent them electronically to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and emailed us copies- all before we left his office. He gave us websites to study and practice for the citizenship test, a timeline on when we would hear from immigration for our next appointment, and even role played so we had an idea of what they would ask my wife. Over the next few months, Mr. Takhsh would check in with us just to say hello and see if there were any changes to our situation. We had one change- we became first-time parents! Mr. Takhsh recorded the information and obtained documentation in case this would be asked for by the immigration officer at the interview.
