Great Lawyer!!

I was very blessed to have Larry as a lawyer. Not only is he a caring, considerate gentleman ~ but knows his way around the courthouse. During my scariest time, Larry got me out of a six month suspension and no breathalyzer. Always on time, and really worked hard on my behalf. I highly recommend... him. I work with attorneys everyday as part of my job and Larry definitely stands out from all the attorneys I've worked with over the years.

Lawrence Dohman should teach a class to other lawyers on how to do it right!

I was stopped for a dui and blew a .14. I had 2 dui's 25 years ago ( which still count today)...and was looking at possible jail time. Lawrence got my case "squashed" due to a technicality. I was able to walk out of the court room without a dui on my record, my drivers license in my wallet, no fines,... no classes, no court fees, no AA meetings...nothing. He knows rolling meadows court house and judges and knows what he is doing! His price was also very reasonable! I can't thank him enough!!!!

THANK YOU LARRY DOHMAN FOR HELPING THIS DISABLED VET ON THE DUI

I am a single father and a disabled veterian, i was arrested for DUI in Augest of 2013. This would be my second DUI, with the first one 11 yrs ago and i was very nervous. i refused all field tests including breathalizer and was arrested. The state trooper had no respect for me being a disabled veteri...an with a amputated leg and arrested me. I have worked very hard to get perminant custidy of my daughter and my last DUI was 13 years ago but i was still looking at my second offence and a 3 yr revoke. i only had consumed 3 or 4 beers in the previous 4 hours but with the state toopers demeaner i was hesitant to comply with anything he asked. And to be honest now adays the rules are so strick one beer can get you a DUI. After talking to several lawers and about a million letters from head hunters i went on this sight and chose Larry. he was completely honest and straight forward. i must admitt he was very understanding of my money situation seeing how i was on disablity pay from the military and worked the price very well for me. I live my life on a hand shake and to me Larry did the same funny i didnt ask for a reciept but he was a man of his word. Showing up on time, very presentable, and reassuring me that he would fight for the best possible outcome. I agree Larry didnt call me over the months dealing with this on a day to day but who wants to be reminded every week about the unfortunate incident on which has occured. Everytime i left a message for Larry even over the holidays he returned my call as soon as he could, answering any questions and reassuring me that it would be ok. I was very grateful for this. In court he always was ontime and talked to me not only before but after each court case. His experiance in the court room showed very well, and his actions at trial were outstanding asking all the right questions and never missing a step. The end result wasnt just a DUI but the state trooper tried to hit me with wreckless endangerment as well which carried a possible one year in cook county. Needless to say the DUI and Wreckless endangerment were both a NOT GUILTY..... I didnt get revoked and only had communtiy service and some minor fines. THANKS TO LARRY AND HIS KNOWLEDGE. HIS ATTITUDE AND HIS EXPERIANCE, I DIDNT GET CONVICTED OF MY DUI AND WRECKLESS. ILL TAKE THE SPEEDER NO PROBLEM. BUT I WANT TO THANK LARRY FOR HIS WORK AND ALSO WITH HIS BUSY SCHEDULE ALWAYS MAKING ME FEEL LIKE A PRIORTY... THANK YOU LARRY DOHMAN

DUI? Ain't nobody got time for that!

My second DUI got due to not having my blinker turned on. I was drinking and so I told the policeman. Had over .16 and the show started. Long story short. My case was held at Skokie, IL courthouse and quickly thrown out because of no probable cause to stop my vehicle. Larry was prepared from first ca...se till last. I got him thru my friend who also had a DUI case (which was naturally a nasty one since involved an accident) and case as well was dismissed. Well, all I can say is that Larry rocks! Keep up the good job!

Painfully Average

In 2013 I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a DUI and was prepared to pay top dollar for the best possible attorney to help me navigate through the legal system and was hopeful of the best possible outcome. I interviewed 4 different lawyers, and ended up selecting Lawrence Dohman becaus...e he was familiar with the Rolling Meadows courthouse scene and was very familiar with all of the judges. He indicated that he had strong relationships with many individuals in the court house, and gave a sense that his reputation could be leveraged to impact the outcome of my DUI charge. Unfortunately, that was not the case and I regretted my decision to hire Mr. Dohman as my attorney. First of all Mr. Dohman was handling several cases each time I was required to appear in court, and he was NOT ONCE on time for when court was in session. I felt like I was an inconvenience, and that my case was just a check mark in the box to get a paycheck. Mr. Dohman had to run from one court room to the next during each of my appearances, and several times I was called in front of the court and he was not present so my case was postponed until a later time. I have a full time job as a business professional, and as you can imagine working around court dates was a very sensitive matter for me as I did not want to miss work due to legal issues. Therefore I wanted to spend minimal time in the court room so I could still arrive at work in a timely fashion and make all of my client meetings. Upon checking in to the court room I would always request to be called as early as possible so that I did not have to sit in court for hours at a time. Unfortunately even though I was early and on time, Mr. Dohman was NOT on time. To my embarrassment, the judge actually called out Mr. Dohman for being late, and said in front of the entire court room that I (the client) was the only one responsible in our party and that he should be respectful of my time and his. Furthermore, the communication between Mr. Dohman and I was poor at best. I only heard from him if I initiated a phone call or a dialogue about our case. I expected a call the day before our court appearance to go over the details and confirm the court room and time, but I never once heard from him. As a result I decided to call Mr. Dohman each time before our court dates, and he very rarely called me back the same day. In fact, I had to call him several times and leave several messages before he would call me back. And for the money I was paying him I think that is a minimal expectation to have solid communication. After not hearing back from him I actually left him messages indicating that I was very upset he had not called back and that his service was not upholding my expectations. Overall, I would NOT recommend Lawrence Dohman, he did the absolute minimal amount of work to get through my court case and get paid. He didn't even appear at my final hearing to discharge me from court supervision (it's a good thing I decided to show up, even though he indicated it was taken care of). There are much better attorneys out there that charge the same amount, and will take better care of you and your case.
