A Lawyer Who'll Fight For You

Attorney Olson and his team are very professional, competent, and knowledgeable. Attorney Olson walked me through each phase of my case and kept me well-informed. He readily responded to all of my questions and concerns. He explained the legal terminology in "plain English". He was always advocating... that my best interests were paramount in my case. My case was successfully and satisfactorily resolved.

Alan Olson

Someone recommended Attorney Olson to me after I met with another lawyer, who seemed out of his depth in terms of employment law. Mr. Olson understood my position as soon as I opened my mouth. He was quick in helping me see my options. He also read my severance agreement and quickly figured out what ...I needed to do to ensure that it was fair. He gave me several solid suggestions on what parts of the agreement to negotiate. Mind you, the lawyer I saw prior to seeing Mr. Olson had told me that I didn’t have much of a case since I was as an at-will employee. That other lawyer also told me that my severance pay was actually quite generous and that I should just take it. But, Mr. Olson figured out, much like I suspected, that even though I was an at-will employee, I had a real basis for potentially bringing forward a suit. I am very grateful that I consulted Mr. Olson. I am also appreciative of his expertise and professional handling of my situation. He gave me the leverage I needed for negotiating a suitable settlement with my former employer. I am not one for writing reviews, but I had to write this one, so that any other person in the same position knows that having an at-will contract does not necessarily mean that the employer wins. You just need to see an experienced lawyer such as Mr. Olson.

CEASE AND DESIST THREATENING LETTER

I am a Sales Associate who after leaving her previous company was "reminded" in a threatening letter of my obligations as listed in the employee handbook. Additionally I had copied a few files for my client's use. Atty. Olson asked numerous questions to qualify the situation and obtain my stance. ...He then began working with opposing counsel to reach a settlement letter. During the process he pointed out things that he felt could weaken my stance with another judge (who would be unfamiliar with my case) should any future situations arise. Atty. Olson was timely and always gracious to provide updates, even when I was merely being impatient. As I am unfamiliar with the law, he explained everything and had a very calming effect, reassuring me of the things which were very common practices and nothing to be alarmed about. I hope I don't ever need an Atty. anytime soon, but if I did I would definitely go back to Atty. Olson.

Hire the best Employee Advocate

Alan has assisted me in the past and outdid himself in this case. He and his highly professional team worked diligently against a strong team of opponents in assisting me with this case. He was patient in answering my questions day or night. He is down to earth, a true employee advocate and in my opi...nion brilliant. I will continue to refer others to him.

Competent, Capable & Complete

During the first overview meeting, Attorney Olson at mid-point, commented the situation was not going to get any better and the suggestion was to look at what options were available to me. Attorney Olson had been referred to me by my former divorce attorney whose statement was, "He is an attorney of... action, straightforwardness and will get it done for the best outcome possible." I appreciated Attorney Olson's candor during our initial meeting, made the decision to move forward with one of the suggested options and retained him at that point. What I was unaware of, was the level of incompetence we would be dealing with by opposing counsel. It is imperative when a client finds themselves in that type of situation to have the very best counsel representing you. Attorney Olson and his team where always available by telephone or email. To be able to speak directly with your own attorney or another attorney within the practice or the paralegal is incredibly important to a client. While I am "another case" to the legal practice, for me, it is my life. To have that type of accessibility for legal counsel is very beneficial to that crucial moment in a client's professional life. I personally did not plan at this point in my career to be dealing with a harassment/retaliation issue at this level. This case should have been resolved in 2 months but dragged on for nearly 6 months due to the aforementioned incompetency of opposing counsel. Attorney Olson's tenacity and attention to detail and again candor afforded me to best outcome in a difficult professional situation. I highly recommend Attorney Olson and his team for any employment related issues.
