I came to this law firm after working for a short time with a previous lawyer who wasn't filing paperwork on time, in the beginning it seemed so much better. Her law firm did get a custody study for our case which was a very good thing, but everything else was an incredibly expensive disapointment.

I worked with One of Probst's associates who although seemed nice was very incompetent in the courtroom, we had 2 humiliatingly bad losses in a row in which the opposing counsel completely dominated us. Not only was Probst's associate unprepared, but meek and afraid to speak up on my behalf IN COURT ROOM!
The 2nd of the embarrassing losses was a restraining order case I filed because of Jane Probst recommendation herself, she later scolded me telling me what an unwise decision it was because of the incredibly high burden of proof needed for a restraining order. WHAT? I was taking the advice of my law firm!
The first embarrassing loss was for withholding placement, my exhusband had been gone for 2 years, has a documented history of violence, and a woman in the house no one had met which the children claimed was hitting them..should have been easy to illustrate reasonable cause to withhold placement right? Nope, not only did we lose that hearing, but I was ordered to pay his attorney fees!
Ultimately what ended our relationship was an appeal I filed for the first hearing. I talked to and confirmed with the associate my plan to appeal both by email (documented) and by phone. 2 weeks passed before Probst even noticed, and then severed the relationship for "acting outside of counsel" and immediately gossiped to the opposing counsel the details of why they were no longer working for me. In fact, within hours I received a message from my ex husband taunting me about it; in her own pettiness and unprofessional behavior not only could she not take responsibility for her own firm's negligence, she actually gave my opposition fuel against me.
Probst ended up being completely unprofessional and unethical in the end, in fact during our last meeting the only part of our conversation she cared about was how much the opposing counsel might be making per hour. She also told me she was letting us go because it'd be impossible to win.
Probst cutting ties was the best thing that happened to our case because with a new lawyer we did win, in fact we got everything I asked for.
That associate by the way is no longer with the firm, I found out over the 2 months it took me to get a final statement from them.
