After the homocide death of my sister who was using Jane for legal counsel, we decided to continue the relationship with her. We are so glad we did! Our legal situation was a complex custody case, that had many unique facets. Jane was very compassionate to our situation and was there for us eve...ry step of the way. In a time of confusion, she was outstanding at breaking down the complexity of it all and explaining things in an understandable way. She had solid legal expertise in the area of child custody laws and guardianship matters. She was accessible when we needed to reach her by phone, and available when we needed to meet her face-to-face or schedule court dates. When in court, she was always competent, organized and incredibly professional. No doubt, Jane truly cares about her clients! Our family would highly recommend Jane to anyone seeking legal representation.

Although personable, I found her professional manner to be lacking. Issues were lack of communication, lack of follow-up on matters that needed pursuing, and a clear misunderstanding of the needs of her client. She resigned after giving me an ultimatum about staying at a particular hotel since I live... out of town as well as not supporting me in my request to appear by telephone for a hearing that we knew nothing was going to occur anyway. Lastly, she charges like a mad elephant. If it takes half an hour to write a few lines of an email, then I consider that a problem. I had a balance left on my account which she did not return, knowing I lived out of state and was unlikely to pursue. That was dishonest.

With the money I paid Attorney Probst I felt like I was living out a version of “Divorce Corp." If you have not seen this documentary, I highly recommend you do so before you dive into family court. I feel that I was a good & steady paying client and until the last month I always made Atty Probst b...ills a priority (even if my basic needs were ignored, or I went into massive debt). She was the 3rd (1 retired, 2-3 were same firm) on my case. I welcome you to CCap it and do your research.

It makes me sick to my stomach to even give her one star. Jane and her firm were the biggest disappointed and waste of time. Initially her and her "paralegal" forgot to file our paperwork, allowing the opposing party to file their motion first with us not knowing. After Jane claimed to "take a perso...nal interest" in the case she sent another lawyer to our first hearing who could barely get a word out and nothing she was talking about. After our first hearing Jane was extremely difficult to get ahold of, takes days to respond to emails and voicemails, and worst of all cancelled on us for a second hearing less than 2 hours before! The firm had no other lawyers to send. And to top it all over she called the opposing party to tell them the hearing was off before even discussing with us her client. Don't waste your time researching her or meeting with her. Everything done up to this point we would have been able to do without her!
