Ray took time to discuss my traffic ticket. He asked about incident details of course.. and then background, career and how the charge would affect me, before giving advice. It wasn't as desperate of a situation as I thought for me personally, but beyond some easy parking ticket. He made it clear ...early on that he was only helping me think through the process and that it wasn't based on an expectation that I hire him, if I couldn't afford it, or wanted to take the risks that he laid out. He gave his time to break down what was likely to happen at my pre-trial. Realistic expectations for what he could do for me vs what I could do alone and what outcomes other lawyers would offer me that were unrealistic or unlikely. Very personable, positive about my situation without acting as if it would all turn out perfectly.. while not trying to scare me about worst case scenarios. The reviews here all seem right- to me, he sounds like a friendly guy that if you shared a meal with, you'd come away wiser. Smart but not talking down to you..optimistic, again, without false promises. Wasn't the cheapest option, yet clearly cared, more than others who threw a little lower number over the phone, said "get back to me soon," and hung up. Appreciated his advice and thoughts.
