William Maze

I asked the client why she only left two stars, and she indicated that it was difficult to see the star rating system on her phone. But, in any event, it was really my pleasure to help this family beat up the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

the best lawyer

William is so knowledgeable in his field which explains why he is president of the Michigan association. If there was a category higher then excellent I would give this to him. Only lawyer you should only consider. Trust me!!!

Maze or Bust

William Maze took my OWI charge and turned it into a Disturbing the Peace charge. The most impressive detail is that he did this without a trial. This man certainly knows his history when it comes to alcohol related cases. By simply sending his case synopsis to the prosecuting attorney and the Judge ...they were convinced of my innocence. The fact that I was, in fact; innocent helped our case a little but the true wow factor was in Maze's knowledge of the law system. The Judge even verbally told me to thank Maze for his awe-inspiring documentation of the incident. Mind you, this judge has been on the stand for decades and has seen many, many lawyers in action. The fact that he was impressed is... well, impressive! In my case I was found behind the wheel of a running vehicle and blew a 0.13 on my breathalyzer. Still, Maze was able to whittle my sentence down to its bare skeleton. This is a testament to the depth of his knowledge and every nook and cranny of the legal system. My thinking was able to be kept at a very comfortable minimum. If you are very serious about the cleanliness of your record, William Maze is a very safe man to entrust your case and your future with,

I hired William Maze for a retail fraud case. I was very happy with him representing me in this case. My charges were dismissed thanks to William.

A lawyers lawyer!

This is a new one for me as I have reviewed William professionally as him and I both practice criminal defense and conduct far more jury trials than the average criminal defense attorney. Part of knowing William is that I know he handles freedom of information act cases. So when I needed to sue th...e city of Dearborn for failing to provide me discovery in a case I was handling after I had foia'd it, I knew there was only one person to call. William took my case and immediately filed a complaint against Dearborn. After about two weeks of denials, William forced their hand and was able to obtain all of the secret documents unlawfully kept from me. In essence, he uncovered a major coverup by the City of Dearborn. These records included videos of the incident as well as a lengthy secret police report. The circuit court judge eventually ruled that because Dearborn had given me what they represented was 'everything,' the case was dismissed over William's very forceful written and oral objections. Rather than stop there, William filed what can only be described as the nuclear bomb of appellate briefs on the City. The Court of Appeals in a split decision, denied our relief. Undeterred, William kept up my confidence and filed a killer brief in the Michigan Supreme Court. And then a funny thing happened.....In one of the more rare things that can take place in the Supreme Court, the court in a unanimous memorandum opinion, reversed the circuit court and court of appeals and rules completely in my favor. A memorandum opinion is rare because it only takes place when the court judges are so convinced that one party is correct, that they rule on the case without having oral arguments! Now if you type in James Amberg v City of Dearborn in google, you can read the end product of William's fearless work and dedication to his clients and his job as a lawyer. He singlehandedly changed the law for foia in Michigan much to the benefit of us, the citizens. As a lawyer who wins a lot of cases and tries hard to win every case I take, I can honestly say that if you need a lawyer who will fight for you when the chips are down and is not afraid to stand up to the unfairness of the legal system, you only need to make the call to William Maze.
