I was involved in a hit and run accident and the cop tried to charge me with a dui and reckless. The cop smelled marijuana in my car and seen that I had a couple of points on my license then coerced me to give my blood. Witnesses described the driver and the car of the other driver but the cop still ...decided to put everything on me. After some run around, Mr. Maze was finally able to get my files, he found a recording of one of the cops saying some pretty derogatory things about me and my family which supported the theory that I was charged with racial bias and that the cop did not do a thorough investigation. Mr. Maze filed a motion to have the bloodwork thrown out due to how the cop got it and the judge denied it due to the lack of understanding of how marijuana works with the law. The courts wanted me to plea guilty to, at least, one of the charges and highly recommended that I took that offer. Myself or Mr. Maze was not willing to settle for either of those charges, so we decided to take our chance at trial. The prosecution refused to get an expert to examine my blood and ultimately settled for careless. While we were confident that we would win at trial Mr. Maze advised me that it would be a great offer and we went for it. Im so happy its over. Thank You Mr. Maze.
