Amy understands and is knowledgeable about the law. However, I would not consider her an advocate or good counsel. She would not fight for me or my kids and backed down so she looked good to the other attorneys and court staff. She is not well respected in the family law circuit and often instead of ...giving good advice would tell me the law and then tell me to decide. This went for appearances as well. When asked if I should have her there or not she would leave it up to me. Then when we would go she absolutely was not needed and I'm sure she was aware of this but wanted billable hours. Please look elswhere. I did better on my own then having her as an attorney. I do have a new attorney now and he us better priced is willing to fight, is well respected, will give advice, cares about us, isnt interested in sucking up hours I could go on. Find an attorney that really cares about what you are going through and understands that not everything is black and white especially when it comes to relationships and people. She once told me that the family court doesnt care about how my kids feel. This is absolutely wrong and because she made me believe that I didnt reach out to the friend of the court. The friend of the court ended scolding me for not calling and explaining how my kids felt about the situation. She doesnt understand or possibly even care about people. If you are looking for someone to do something simple for you like recite a law or file a motion she would be expensive but would suffice. If you are looking for someone to truly advocate for you then this is not the attorney for you.

I got 50/50 custody, my house and toys! Now that I have your attention. If you're thinking of getting a divorce..don't! If that other person is making the decision for you..HIRE AMY!! No matter how business savvy you think you are. do not go it alone. Divorce is a contract with too many emotions.... You need a FAIR fighter in your corner to help you. You need Amy!

Going through divorce after 24 years of marriage is difficult in many ways. Issues specific to my divorce included custody/parenting time, child support, alimony, and property division.
