I hired Cy after I had been arrested and before I had been charged with 2 misdemeanors and a felony. Cy listened to my case and gave me a roadmap to follow to get in front of the charges This turned out to give the best possible outcome I could have imagined. Cy Abdo is an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE ATTORNEY AND MAN. I spoke at length with more than 20 attorney's from Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne County, some at double the cost of Cy. I am certain, no other attorney could have produced the results Cy did, nor put in as much time and effort, nor provided the EXCE...LLENT level of response throughout the entire process. I was able to get in contact with Cy over the phone, even on a weekend, over text and through email. His response time was always IMMEDIATE. He let me know what documents would be helpful to the case, that he received the documents I sent, and even answered any unexpected questions to situations that arose outside of typical business hours. I can't imagine there is an attorney that works harder and is more available to his clients, than Cy. He was in the office every day, even during COVID when many attorney's were working from home. He was in early each morning, and even went in on Saturday for a good portion of the day to work on one of my cases. The hard work, and many hours, he put into the case yielded results no other attorney was able to offer. Many of the other attorney's I spoke with thought jail time was definitely a possibility, anywhere between a weekend to 30 days. Cy was able to avoid any jail time, and even obtain minimal sentences on both cases. Even with a prior Felony and Domestic Violence charge on my record, he was able to get a Domestic Violence Second offense reduced to Disorderly Conduct with only a year probation. He was also able to get the second Disorderly Conduct charge deferred, meaning it will not appear on my record, after a short probation. Both of these cases took phone calls to prosecuting attorney's, which HE INITIATED, followed up on, and also pursued different avenues when we received an unfavorable response from the first prosecuting attorney on the more damaging second case. Also, the good working relationships, he had established with the other attorney's, enabled him to be INCREDIBLY EFFECTIVE and have good communication and resolve both cases even prior to being in the court room, which was very important to me. Furthermore, the RESPECT he has earned from the JUDGE was evident, as she stated each of the four times I was in front of her, that 'I was lucky to have such an upstanding, good, and well respected attorney'. The third time I was in front of the judge she stated 'normally an individual would receive jail time for such an offense, and that I need to be thankful that Cy is SO WELL RESPECTED, and as a result my sentence was much lower than it normally would be'. The fourth, and last time I was with the same judge, she specifically stated that 'I would not have received the limited sentences I did, if it wasn't for Cy and that I should be very thankful for his preparation and the way he represented me in the court room'. The judge did not state this once about any of the other attorney's present for any of the other cases, during any of those four appearances. There were also no additional fees beyond what Cy quoted me, even as the case progressed. Even after my case was finished, and he had no other obligation to the case, he still continued to help me by providing a recommendation for a psychologist that was part of my sentencing. He even personally reached out to the doctor, explained the circumstances and let him know my financial limitations. As a result, the doctor agreed to offer his services at a lesser rate than when I had originally spoken with him. Also, after the case was done, Cy kindly typed up a cover letter and provided the letter of apology to the victim because I was unable to have contact with her as a condition of my probation. Lastly, I experienced much anxiety over the two charges I received. When that anxiety was high, he took the time to answer any questions I had, and never made me feel any shame for the mistakes I had made. Where can one start, this law firm , Cy Abdo and his son are this firm , Cy handled my case which was a high bac. I had no idea what a bac was and the charges . My first decision was to search on line for an attorney. Cy Abdo law popped up , I read others but I didn't see any good reviews , just sa...w what my rights are and how they will fight in court. I hired Cy Abdo for an Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death charge. Obviously this is a very serious charge and as I had never been in trouble with the law before, I had no idea where to turn for representation.
