Ain’t afraid to win!!

George was very helpful and victorious with my case. I was in Michigan for work and was approached by two officers and asked if I had guns in my vehicle. I did and let them know I did and wasn’t aware I was breaking any laws. I didn’t know that you can’t have ammo in the magazine if it’s in your vehi...cle. I was facing two felonies and had zero intentions of breaking any Michigan laws. George worked thoroughly to get my case dropped to only paying a $100 fine. He stayed in constant communication with me to let me know his every move all the way to the end. I very much recommend George to anyone needing a solid lawyer to stand up and fight for you.

My introduction to the legal system in Macomb county Michigan

I'm from Georgia, and I'm a traveling lineman. Was arrested for felony weapon charges, while sitting in my truck in the hotel parking lot. Pure ignorance of the law, and 100% compliance, honesty, and even telling the cops that I had nothing but respect for them had me looking at charges that would ve...ry possibly cost me everything I've worked for for 20 years. This was my first jail experience, and was treated like an absolute dog. I didn't realize how unfairly you could be treated as an innocent person, even if it was just innocent until proven guilty. I was recommended to find George by a fellow inmate, one of my best friends is a lawyer in GA, he recommended George, and my mother in law who had my back, and sought out the best lawyer in Michigan, which was George. He had two felonies charges turned into a civil infraction, and $200 fine. But more importantly, I still have my house, vehicles, and the ability to continue my career, and my families livelihood. Would also like to mention that I'm a conservative redneck hillbilly from GA, and while sitting in a crowded holding cell in Macomb county Michigan, with all types and colors, that the only bad people in there were jailers. A young black man used his phone money to help me contact my wife, and every time I tried to ask anything, I was screamed at by the jailers. If it wasn't for the "criminals" around me, and all the advice, and telling me what to expect, I would probably still be in jail. I have a complete different perspective on things now, and completely respect, and appreciate criminal defense attorneys.

My first review for anything….EVER. George is the best of the best!

When I got divorced I didn’t know anything about Friend of Court. I was young and I was paying my kids mother plenty on the side. When she filed for child support I sorta blew it off. My company went under so for 6 months I was not working, but I never told FOC. So since I never responded to the init...ial ridiculous child support and Alimony she filed asking for, it had just went into affect. So 6 months @ $6,000 a month came to $36,000 that I had no idea I owed, that is, not until I was arrested. My case because of the ridiculous amount quickly became an attorney general case. For nearly 6 years (and large in part to my own opiate addiction issues), I was treated like total garbage by the state, arrested several times, jailed, and hit with a felony. Keep in mind I had already paid tens of thousands in child support but they don’t care they’ll keep coming at you for more. Anyway like I said I was much to blame, but it is a very unfair system to say the least and I felt hopeless. Fast forward to the past two years have been sober and working full time very hard and paid 50% of my take home the entire two years but on time and did not miss any court appearances. Well I wanted to pay off the remaining arrears and try to workout a deal to be free of everything. I went to 5-6 attorneys (so called top attorneys) who didn’t want anything to do with my case and said there was nothing I could do. Until I find George. He was exceptionally professional right away, and very optimistic but also creative and willing to actually put some thought into it. Because I was still technically on probation and attached to the court, George was able to convince the TOUGHEST prosecutor in town to REMOVE my felony entirely if I paid the arrears. Sure enough I did pay it and my felony is now reduced to a meaningless misdemeanor. Because of George and his brilliance I am now able to get a high paying job again in my former industry. I was in high level executive in advertising at several blue chip companies prior to all of this, and I am as impressed with George and his professionalism and dedication as anybody I ever worked with. You are making a HUGE mistake not doing everything you can to work with George. Prior and during the process you will be treated like a decent human being, your phone calls, texts, and emails answered always in a very timely fashion, and most importantly he will do exactly what he says he will do. Can’t say enough or thank him enough.

Excellent Lawyer!

Geroge is a great lawyer! I had a prior charge, and he was able to get my charge completely dismissed and reduced. He is very detail-orientated and attentive. George is very flexible to get your questions answered even if that means memorial day weekend! Overall, I had a great experience with George ...and recommend hiring him!

Not afraid to WIN!

I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with George as my OWI attorney. This was a cut & dried OWI 3rd (felony) case with no loopholes, no gray areas, and nowhere to run. Add to it, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and driving on suspended. Is embarrassing to even write thi...s honestly because I was in so deep but yet I’m proud to write this review because I’ve never been so impressed with an attorney. First off, George was very responsive. I was in big trouble so naturally I was blowing up his phone & email with questions and concerns. George made me feel like he was taking things personally, like these were his own legal issues. Replies were prompt and confidence building. We didn’t have a “way out” so we were relying on 3 things. 1. My absolute dedication to recovery & commitment to AA & sobriety. 2. George’s diligence, integrity, and complete professionalism as a legal counselor. 3. My higher power (God) orchestrating the chain of events. I’m still so mind boggled over everything I can’t even really know where to give the full credit but George’s results were “miraculous” to say the least. I started this ordeal with a different attorney who was so neglectful and unresponsive and failing miserably in representing me with a completely different case that I was absolutely convinced I’d be spending a year behind bars. My highest ambition was that I would get Sobriety Court (which EVERYONE told me was 2 years of hell) just to remain out of jail, if I were lucky. I knew I had to hire a better attorney just to achieve “2 years of hell” as my greatest ambition. I did some heavy research which led me to Kyle Bristow (Bristow Law). Kyle was already overwhelmed with cases but confidently referred me to George Brown (Lewis & Dickstein Law) telling me that George was the guy I was looking for. Let’s cut to the chase: The outcome was so impressive that my bond supervision officer called me on the phone after receiving the information on my sentencing and said (and I quote) “Erik, I can’t even believe your sentencing. This is what I do. I currently have 200 people I’m supervising with felony DUI’s and similar charges. I’d say maybe 1 in 500 cases get a reduction from Felony 3rd offense to misdemeanor 2nd offense and never with no jail time sentenced. AND YOU HAD THE ABSOLUTE HARDEST JUDGE!” I was already feeling blessed (or flat out the luckiest man alive) but that statement from that call really confirmed to me exactly how much George had really done for me. He worked his butt off! These things don’t “just happen”. For those that read this review and are looking at deep consequences; I’m not saying “George is going to get you out of it. Hire George and you’ll get off Scott free.” What I am saying is that if you really want an incredible attorney that will fight hard for you, fight diligently and courageously, one who knows the laws, knows the system, knows the players, and knows his stuff - hire George Brown. I am not going to jail. I wasn’t charged with a felony. I have 24 months of probation that is nothing more than accountability to help maintain my sobriety. That’s it. George has been added to my “favorites” in my iPhone Call List. Guess who I’m hiring to help get my driver’s license back???? I think I’ll go with George! Added note; while we were standing in front of the judge in a full courtroom and George was pleading my case, the man sitting next to my girlfriend leans over to her and asks her in a whisper “where did you find that attorney??” Thank you George…, Erik E.
