Best decision I could have made

I hired George to represent me as a victim's advocate in a domestic violence case. I was the 'alleged victim' in a situation that was grossly misrepresented from the start. He quickly identified issues that could cause self-incrimination if I were to testify. He did NOT let the prosecution bully me i...nto testifying without the protection of immunity. Immunity was granted because of his expertise and knowledge of the law. I was given the opportunity to testify without fear, set things right, and exonerate someone who was falsely accused of domestic violence. George was direct, honest, and didn't sugarcoat anything. He was always prompt in his communication and made sure I understood my rights and my options. In short, he gave me and my family our lives back. He even held my purse when I thought I couldn't bring it with me to the stand (turns out I could. Sorry George!) If you're looking for fair, aggressive representation and someone who truly makes you feel understood, look no further. He's absolutely not afraid to win.

Excellent Attorney; Fights On Your Behalf Throughout

George is an incredibly skilled attorney, and can be relied upon to fight for you through every stage of the process. The judge for my case was adamant about sending me to prison for 23 months to 10 years. This was daunting, but George reassured me it would not be happening. I consider myself a good ...judge of character and skill, and was relieved as his confidence appeared merited. This was immediately proven to be the case by his actions and the subsequent results. During a my period of incarceration, he managed to get my $30,000 cash surety (i.e. no 10%, all $30,000 required) reduced. And not simply by a small percent--he got it reduced to a PR bond. From $30,000 to $0 is quite a difference. Following that, he demonstrated exceptional aptitute navigating a court system that I can only describe as chaos. First the numbers went down to 365 days in jail and 180 days of no contact with my family after release. Still quite unfortunate, but far removed from up to 10 years in prison. However, George continued fighting, and to my surprise, managed to get all no-contact orders lifted before sentencing had even occurred. I was ecstatic--I went from thinking I wasn't going to see my wife and kids for years, to leaving the courthouse with them before them before the process was over. Continuing his trajectory, George drove home win after win. They wanted me to take psychotropic medications that incur permanent damage, mandated by court order. Gone. They wanted me to enroll in "Intensive Treatment Court," which meant forfeiting all my rights and attending court every Wednesday for an undefined period of time. Not happening. Worst of all, they wanted a felony on my record for seven years, which would have eliminated my ability to continue working for that time. He got me a reduction to a misdemeanor after completion of two years probation. In short, George got me 2 years of probation followed by reduction to a misdemeanor, when I was looking at 23 months to 10 years. Highly recommended.

This Man Literally Saved My Life

I was originally charged and convicted with a Class A Felony that carried a one day to life sentence by Oakland County Circuit Court, One of the toughest courts in the entire country. I could not be released until I completed a class that the prisons stopped during the pandemic, so effectively I had ...no real out date. I retained George Brown about 8 months into my sentence with no real resolution or out date in sight. This Man fought to get me retrial and assisted my family in every step of the way until I came home. The judge rejected our initial offer at inpatient treatment because the program was out of state. HE found a program in the state and worked with the prosecutor. In 3 months I was out of prison in treatment, furthermore he even got my Class A Felony reduced to a misdemeanor. If it wasn’t for George Brown and his team I could very well still be in prison at this moment. Now I am back home with my family, working and honest job, in therapy and a non-felon. Later my little sister(a young college student)got into a situation where she could have been charged with a felony in Wayne County, once again my family turned to George for help. He got her case wholly dismissed. I truly could not thank this man enough and know if I ever need a lawyer again, he will be the first person I will call. George Brown is an effective, diligent and adaptable lawyer who cares about his clients lives and future. If you find yourself in the needing effective, well-versed lawyer who knows the legal landscape of Michigan AND that will fight not just hard, but intelligently on your behalf, you couldn’t find a better lawyer than George Brown.

Domestic abuse charge

George displays excellent professionalism, a strong knowledge of the law all while having great compassion for his client. I fully believe if it wasn’t for George’s strong knowledge of the law, my family member would have been looking at a four year felony instead of a misdemeanor. George is prom...pt in returning phone calls, beginning with the initial contact. He is sensitive to work schedules and is more than willing to work with his client’s schedule. Remember that you get what you pay for. George may seem like a lot of money, but isn’t your life worth it!?! I believe he is worth every dollar that was spent and I was not disappointed with him at any point during our legal process. Don’t be afraid to go outside of your community to find a lawyer. George was outside of our community and I believe that was to our advantage.
