I retained Ms. Flood to represent me on a 'complex' child support matter, she took over from my first attorney with no hesitation. I had my children lost due to my alcohol addiction that had taken a turn after my wife had passed away. I agreed to let my late wife's sister and husband have the children for a VERY SHORT time until I "got my act together". It's hard to put into words just how much Kate has helped me through a very difficult situation. I have twins and I could've been totally cut out of their lives, had it not been for Kate. It started with our first phone consultation. My twins weren't even born yet but I knew I had to find out my l...egal options and seek legal help. Kate answered and spoke with me for over 30 minutes, for free, listening to me explain my situation and what I was facing. Kate expressed empathy and understood my frustrations. Then after my kids were born, Kate was diligent making sure the paternity (DNA) testing was done prior to any child support being discussed. Then at mediation, Kate sat with me through the entire 8 hour ordeal, while the opponent's attorney didn't even bother to show up. It meant a lot to me that Kate was there with me and she helped me get the most out of the settlement agreement. Then when their mom violated that agreement, Kate was there to pursue the contempt and she was able to successfully prove it in court. During cross-exam, Kate was aggressive and really laid out all the facts before the judge. This entire process has taken over 2 years but Kate has been there literally every step of the way. As of today, I get consistent parenting time with my twins and I contribute that to having Kate as my legal advocate. Her knowledge, advice and legal guidance has been invaluable.
